One of the greatest FPS-RPG horrors games. Get headphones, turn off the lights and get into one of the best PC games. I've played this gem a long time ago twice as You can play the game with different builds like more psionic powers or more weapons skills. As this game is as much FPS as it is RPG. You will get skills to invest points into (cybermodules), vending machines, enemy research, weapon repairing or hacking. But also a lot shooting with good story. There are probably a lot of mods to improve graphics but other than that game is almost perfect. Sound is god like. Specially the enemies like cyborg midwifes or protocol droids. I don't know what Night Dive Studios changed in GOG version but original was almost perfect. A bit unbalanced as some builds were too OP, still there is a lot to experiment. Also ending cinematic is well bad so this game is only 9,9/10.
Zaczyna się ekstra. Muzyka, grafika (jak się lubi retro), grywalność, bronie czy przeciwnicy wszystko na wysokim poziomie. A że to idzie na starym silniku od Duka to można w to grać na sprzęcie sprzed dekady. No niestety im dalej tym bardziej widać że zabrakło pomysłu na urozmaicenie rozgrywki. Pierwszy epizod z cyberpunkowym miastem był najładniejszy dalej już więcej jakiś przeciętnie wyglądających kanałów, laboratoriów czy kopalni. Brak mi tu jakiś ciekawych końcowych broni do masowej rozwałki czy bardziej zakręconych przeciwników. Czegokolwiek co by zerwało monotonnie rozgrywki.
To best describe Venetica it's action rpg in vain of Gothic with a bit of Metroidvania all in Discworld like setting. So what's good: - graphic and art style are quite good - music and voice work are solid at least in english - combat is servicable with a lot o weapon skills and spells - gameplay is fun. Gothic veterans will feel at home. But on top of action rpg stuff You get new skills or equipment to open new paths metroidvania style. - story is interesting - game is long The bad: - game crashed on me couple of times. Game autosaves often buts still lookout - too many ctr+c-ctrl+v elements like same rooms, animations, NPC etc - there is enough variety in enemies but most of them fight the same - ending is too short. There is a lot of decisions in game so I would like to see their outcome - game is a bit too easy even on hard Game needed I think more time or money. Just more polish and variety to game would made Venetica great. As it is it's only good but for 10 złoty it's well worth buying.
I love Kingdom Rush series and played all of them on my mobile. This one is still one of the best tower defence but nothing really new here. We play as bad guys now and can choose which tower we take for missions but other than that it's still that good old formula that made KR so great. Just this time it's a bit stale and feels a bit recycled from previous games. If there will be 5th game I would like something new and more crazy. Bottom line get it when it's on discount.
Prolog jest krótki ale wystarcza żeby się przekonać że gra warta jest uwagi. Grafika retro ale wszystko jest dobrze przestawione. Interfejs i mechanika gry wystarczająco przejrzyste i dość głębokie. Jedyne zastrzeżenie że nie zawsze wiedziałem która postać wykonuje ruch ale to można łatwo poprawić. Muzyka oddaje klimat a ten jest dość mroczny i poważny. Mam nadzieję że pełna wersja utrzyma ten poziom.
I had a blast with this FPS. It's a great mix of gory shooter with light rpg elements and enough world building to keep you interested. Music is godly Graphics are retro but art direction is really good. Game is also fairly long.
