To be honest, it is sad that spiderweb games is one of the few companies keeping the cRPG alive, as they are not really all that good. The story line is deep and engaging i guess, but it does not even come close to the levels of say Baulders Gate, or even Temple of Elemental Evil. I made it a dozen or so hours into the game, and found the biggest problem with the game is the pacing. There are places you can breeze past, then all of a sudden you run into a small dungeon or boss, that is utterly unbeatable until you level more, and backtrack to that location. I spent more time trying to figure out where I could level, then actually leveling, and I had to spend my time doing that, because, the actual story line was at that point too over leveled to continue. I can not say if my experience is unique, just that the pacing is rough. Very rough. If you are expecting something similar to the 90's cRPG, its close, but no cigar, and you are probably better off replaying any of the Black Isle games.
