The intro and some cut sequences look primitive by today's standards but I loved this game quite a bit. Automapping you could print, somatic spell casting, decent voice acting for the time and a good blobber all around. Originally I guess I always got the bad ending. I honestly thought that was the only ending and that the hero had to sacrifice himself for all; sort of like a JC bible story I guess. Years later I read there is a story end where you live. Still, that stayed in my brain for a long time. Death animations are awesome.
Purchased. I also bought the music ost which isn't all that spectacular but isn't annoying either. For trial run I am not going to do anything. Let's see how this virus spreads and who survives. I think its interesting as a simulator. General indicators for cities is Country Flag Alive population Immune: Fear level GHO inflUence Floating above that in a bubble is Infected Skull (representing deaths) I wish the time counter showed hours:minutes:seconds as well as date. At the moment i see: 2019/11/07. I hope i can let this idle and play out. Across the top you see: Total human population Total infected Total deaths Total immune Cash on hand Medical supplies on hand Science points Vaccine Level Virus level Pause, play, fast forward Date Game Setting Smack center bottom is a PANIC METER. Bottom right is your global hud view center. By default you are looking at Infection Spread view. It goes as follows: 1. Infection Spread view 2. Fear level View 3. Ongoing GHO Solutions 4. Global open transport connections 5. Transport Connections View 6. Air transport connections view 7. Sea transport connections view 8. Land transport connections view 9. Money contribution view 10. Medical supplies contribution view 11. Science points contribution view 12. Population view 13. Deaths view 14. Virus immune population view 15. Buildings operation range view 16. Units view Clicking that global hud again close it. Bottom left hud: 1. Global health organization 2. Country info 3. Buildings 4. Research and Regulations 5. Decrees 6. Vaccine research lab 7. Simulation charts. And more see forum for other stuff. People can give this game their opinions without trying but i think you could be missing out if you love management games and simulations. I give it a double thumbs up and will post this in the reviews. I like what i see and will let tou know later if i have issues. Vid can be skipped btw. Cheers.
Its a funny name but just watching the game play is soothing. This is a very very welcome relief and I enjoy these types of games immensely. In MMORPGs like say Aion I enjoyed taking screenshots, listening to the music and drinking in the work of the art scenery (well I enjoyed crafting too). This is awesome and on part with space exploration in the stars. I also bought Flower and wondered if thatgamecompany's other games might hit gog. They look fantastic as well are called Sky, Journey, and Flow. They have a description of each at thatgamecompany.com Just nice.
"This is like the fifteenth screenshot..." Hah! That was pretty good. So far its held my interest though I just casually play and switch to other games. Downloading wasn't an issue and it boots up. I'm not entirely all that in depth but it seems fun and I like games with lots of banter so that's a plus. Quite engaging I will say and it says its still in development so there will probably be more content or streamlining. Perhaps there will be a sequel depending on how well this sells. Who knows.
My only complaint is there are no manuals to the game. I never played Doom 3 but the visuals and sounds seem stunning enough for the time. For completions sake get the manuals up here as it seems I have to look all over the net for them. Grrrr... rip n tear my hair out... oh wait.. I'm bald. Nose hairs then....
It’s fantastic, but is there some reason the bard at the beginning isn’t talking the story like the video? I was looking forward to that even if it’s just an extra. Maybe it needs a patch. Lots of features to play with here. Hope there’s more to come. Cheers.
