This game made my childhood. I didnt think I would ever see it on GOG. I remember playing it everyday after school and any other time. Was probably my first game. I played it over and over. Purely loved it! Im drooling at the mouth that I can play it again!

I started off playing this series back with number 2, was hooked from then. Loved 3 but never did play 4. But this game, its good on some levels, alot better. But the neutral creatures killed it for me. I always was slow to build up at the start, normally have nothing defending my base. I saw some neutral mob pop up right outside my castle, too strong for me. Though "whatever I get build up and smash it down". A month later my army was nice, that neutral mob was massive, I dont even remember if there was a cap. Got through it fine to see about another 50 neutral guys had spawned, all had 1000s within their armies. In the third one it used to take neutral mobs years to get into the 1000s, yet a month and they were everywhere and very powerful. I couldnt even get anywhere close to anything. One simple thing destroyed the game completely. Simply, if you are a die hard fan, you will probably love it. If you dont like to grind out neutral mobs all night then you will probably hate it.

This is by far the best game period. I used to spend so many hours playing this over LAN with my brother. Building up the massive nuke army and watch the screen stay white for about a minute. Beats Age of Empires simply cause of all the ages, I loved going through them all, even if it does take abit of time. Watching my tanks roll over people horsemen armies. If you like a game where you need more then a day to sometimes finish it, then you will love it more.
This game is both awesome and boring as hell. I love how open world the game is, where unlike most FPS, I can attack from the back, sides, or whichever way I want to. But on the same hold, it got boring very fast for me, doing the same things over and over. I only got to the second part/map once. I didnt die much at all, I could very easily kill anyone following me or clearing out a camp. But knowing I would have to kill everything so many times over. It broke me. But it does add nice things to it, over number one, like the buddy system, help them out/do jobs for them, they help you out and your "hideout" is updraded.
I remember playing this game shortly after it came out. I really did fall in love with the story line, which is probably the only reason I finished it. Cause overall it's pretty crap. You just do the same few things over and over. Go up that tower, tail someone, kill that person. You open up a new "city" or "part of the same city" and you do the same as before. I would only pick this game up on sale. The game overall feels too easy. On some bosses I just rush straight in, kill, take on 10-15 guards. Get bored then leg it.
