Despite its age, it’s still fun to play, as it seems to play the same as Poker Night at the Inventory. It’s also still funny, and like Poker Night at the Inventory after it, it will take you many plays before you hear all of the dialog. Telltale Texas Hold'Em is well worth buying for its asking price of $5, especially if you haven't yet played Poker Night at the Inventory. Even if you have played Poker Night, you may still find some fun with the game as there are a lot of good jokes here.
This is a fantastic compilation and is absolutely the best way to play these two games. What is included here is the Sega Genesis version of Aladdin and both the Sega Genesis and Super NES versions of The Lion King. The Game Boy versions are also included, but that's mostly for the sake of novelty. Those versions are not too great. The console versions ARE great, however, and are way better than the DOS versions that used to be sold at GOG.com. Plus, the emulation included is fantastic. They play and sound just like they did in the 1990s and with modern high definition screens, you can see more detail in the fantastic pixel art than ever before. There are also multiple display options, so you don't have to play with borders if that's not what you want. There are also options included to optionally make these games less hard to play through, although you certainly can ignore them if you want the challenge. These include features that have become standard with classic re-releases lately, including the option to save anywhere and a rewind feature to retry if you die on a particularly hard level (of which there are many, especially in The Lion King). As a bonus, they also have included the prototype of Aladdin shown to press in the 1990s, as well as a version of the game with slight tweaks that the developers would have like to have made in the 1990s if they had time. If you like these games, the films they are based on, or just the 1990s platformers in general, then pick up this collection. These are two of the best games of their generation, and this collection is hands-down the best way to experience them.
