Grim Dawn

No Linux

Well, I saw the game running, it's pretty interesting and nice. But there is no Linux version, so I'll never buy it. I will never buy again a game that is not playable with other choices than the big corps that are Microsoft and Apple. Make games that are playable with any OS, respect consumers or consumers will bash your reputation one day or another.

Amazing game for easy players

Nothing difficult, but an enjoyable gameplay with a decent story. Graphisms are okay but can be improved. Around 13 hours to finish it during my first walkthrough, with, I believe, the possibility to finish it way quicker.

Good old games... Bad old gameplay

You have to consider this review on a value for money scale. The two games are awesome for anybody like me who was an early computer gamer, and a RTS amateur. The story is fun, who enjoyed Tolkien's litterature was pretty sure to enjoy Warcraft and its battles between humans (and their allies) and orcs (and their allies). But, it was back then, when gameplay were a bit harder than nowadays (pixel, oh dear pixel, how many times did I do wrong and forced me to improve myself thanks to you ?!). And it still is. I did not buy it on GOG because I can have it for free on abandonware websites. Come on, think about it : an old game with an old gameplay shouldn't be more than 1-2$, or should be free. Today, the nostalgia cannot erase the fact that the gameplay is not playable the same way it was, we were in a time we were accustomed to this kind of difficult gameplay. We are not anymore, and the young people will mostly be wondering why they play such games, and why they payed that much for something than can be produce again, with the same story, but with a contemporary RTS gameplay. Because that's what I want myself : a new and beautifull Baldur's Gate with the same story, the same NPC, the same magical objects,... A new Fallout 1&2 closer to ATOM RPG. A new Age of Empire... Old games for the nostalgia, but modernized, not just retouched. And I'd pay the 30-40$ without hesitation for it.
