I could spend dozens of lines just saying how this game is totally worth playing, especially due to its wonderful visuals, music, cutscenes, voicing, RPG-total-loyalty, gameplay options... But I´ll just say that, since the time I start playing both tabletops and PC RPGs, back in the mid-90´s, I don´t remember when it was the last time that I had SO MUCH FUN already at the character creation. Perfect game, perfect RPG!
Astonishing graphics and visuals, masterpiece music, clear and professional voice acting, cool and entertaining story and a most original "real-time-timeline" It might take a little longer than usual until the player gets the hang both of the camera and the back-and-forth trance/time, but it´s definitely worth it. I could say I miss some of looting and scenario scavenging I´m used to find on regular RPGs, but this one´s purpose is clearly exclusive, and a pretty great one. I have never played something like this, and I absolutely got addicted to it!
Even in the early access version this game had gotten me, and there were so many updates and improvements to make it even better. The player get a fully customizable sandbox simulator, being able to choose mostly everything: planet type, vegetation, dangers, rivals, factions... you name it! Do you want to follow a campaign and take more seriously the environmental changes your actions have upon the planet and its residents? Go for it, you´ll have a challenges? Maybe you´d rather enjoy a beautiful game and build whatever you want and wherever you want it, fully colonizing the place, "abducting" its native residents and having an administration playground which covers the entire surface - just like Isaac Asmov´s Terminus -, with no cataclysmic events, pollution or rivals to bother you? No problem! The U.I. is beautiful in design, pretty easy to understand - although there are great tutorials for everything. A really creative tech-tree, quite loyal to the game´s subjects. And, at last but not at least, both professional and exquisite characters added to the game´s story. Personally, this is the perfect game for its genre.
Amazing game, such a powerful playing experience! Even now, "currently in development", the game has almost everything I could expect in its genre. There are SO MANY options to play, regardless you wish to follow some scripted missions or a full sandbox experience. Since the beginning, you can freely decide to be a miner, a pirate, transporter, merchant... and, as a much appreciated surprise, a complete MOD set to customize almost everything. And the updates keep coming!
AWESOME game! Plenty of fun, gorgeous graphics for scenarios, characters, effects, all of that. Beautiful sound track. And a bunch of nice references to the whole RPG-like world. One of the most amazing visual-perspective experience game I´ve ever played. Wether you desire a very, VERY easy difficulty, just to embark on the story, or quite a challenging experience, you´ll mostly find it in the game. AWESOME!
