Master of Orion 1+2

Peak sci-fi empire building

These are two games that have really stood the test of time. I've come back to both games over the years and it's like meeting an old friend again, always a pleasure. Glad they are both here.

Lure of the Temptress (1992)

Classic

I remember playing this game when it was first released and how innovative it was for it's time. Other games have built on it's foundations, which may be why some aspects of it don't resonante with everyone. It's a good puzzle game - progression is logical even if difficult from a modern perspective. I'm not sure what people expect from a game that was made to fit on few 1.44MB floppy disks. I'd love to see a remake of the game to flesh out the world and story, but it still has a lot to show within the confines of the technology at the time it was made.

Cyberpunk 2077

Worth revisiting

It's a 'late to the party' review, so i missed a lot of the contraversy of the initial release. It's a shame as this is a really good and unique game. Just getting lost in Night City and seeing the amount of detail there is a pleasure in itself. I played though a very different game that the one the ealier reviews of this game talk about. I honestly hope more people try or revisit this title as it would be too sad if it's only remembered for the initial release and not what it became after all the work the devs have put in to make it the Night City people hoped for.

Thymesia - Digital Deluxe Edition

Solid game, i'd recommend.

For me personally, something about this game just clicked. The art style, music and story just mesh so well together. I'm not normally a fan of 'souls' games, but this one grabbed my attention and i'm glad i picked it up. I know that the amnesiac protaganist is an overused trope, but it's well used here and it doesn't cheapen the experience. Also I've not encountered the bugs that seem prevelent in new game releases in general, so kudos to the devs for that.
