I never really thought of it as a competition between these two companies, as SNK always followed Street Fighter and added a new opinion. Then Capcom would incorporate said opinion down the road. I like this version escept for the difficulty spike at the end. Talk about a Gundam esque BlazBlue battle there.

The evolution of this game is fun. My favorite original versions (besides the first arcade game), were Raiden on the Atari Jaguar, Raiden DX on the PSX, and Raiden Fighters Jet in the arcades. The gameplay in this one is a little static (but aren't they all), and the dialogue is...well...dumb.

This game was great. After the series went on such a long hiatus it felt like a breath of hot, burning, rotting air, and I like how this version feels and plays. I don't even care about the missing multiplayer extras, which should be expected from a DRM free game.
