"oh, its a rpg in old roman empire entourage, probably about caesar and all that" BOY was i wrong after around 30 minutes in the first area. This is a story driven true rpg game with all that should be in a proper role-playing game: nonlinearity, several ways to solve a problem or reach any place, interesting rich story, well crafted world and characters. If you can pass the clearly outdated (but still obviously made with love) picture, you will not regret a minute playing this.

Great game, just finished it with 66 hours of gameplay and it was a great 66 hours. This game definitely goes to 'my favourite games of all time' list alongside with first two fallouts. Of course there is absence of stealth (almost) and you cant set traps and follower ai is lemming level of applied battle tactics. But the world is believable and obviously made with a great effort of every developer involved. Music is good (you can listen to it outside the game and it still sounds awesome, so yeah). There is also a miracle of sound song thats playing at the end. (oh, and at the end you really feel like your efforst across the wastes were not mass effected.) Not regreting a single moment playing it and going to play this once in a while.

I expected not much looking at all these reviews, but what i got caught my whole attention, successfully taking me away from real life for several days. I like the story, the atmosphere, music, a bit repertitive tho, is doing its job well. Visuals are very nice for a unity game, but most importantly it's obvious from the first look how much effort devs put into locations and the world itself. UI is unusual at first, but its customizeable, there are no checkpoints and plenty of options to save however you want and you can complete any level in several ways. There are only two things i think i dont like: bumb followers (both in team and completely uncontrollable npcs following you in some quests) and very weak stealth. First 10 hours into the game i had to place my followers into the farthest corner of the map so they wont rush into battle, now with some skillpoints spend in crowd control this is a rare iccurence. Other that that, im not dissapointed and would reccomend this game to anyone who wants to explore post-apocalyptic world of wasteland2.
