This DLC brings in basically more of the same from base game. If you liked the base game, you most likely will like DLC too. This time you will play as same Liva you encounter during main games story. This is more tightly constructed and more fast paced story to dig through than main story, but it is done well enough to not look like rushed out version in comparison. DLC will last for a few hours, unless you want to uncover all sides and possibilities from story - then it will require a couple playthroughs.
Game is set during 2nd World War when N*zis have occupied Danish areas where you live. You play as Gerda, half German and half Dane, who needs to pick her side and do choices which will affect how different sides will see and react to her. Will you try to appeal to occupiers to gather more information easily but be at the same time loathed by resistance? Will you try to save your husband or save people fighting for better future? Basically game revolves around choices you need to make to appeal one side over another. There are different events that occur where you can also affect destinies of people you encounter and possibilities to see them again - where they will react to you based on your earlier actions. People may die, but you can also save them by making correct choices. More often than not the impact will happen based on choices you made during earlier events, meaning once you start a new event, what ever happens will happen - you cannot change that anymore. In between the events you get to "overview map" where you can sometimes choose which event you want to play. However, mostly you dont have time to access all events; time will forward after every event and there are times when for example you have time to access one event but 3 different ones are visible. It will also affect like/dislike ratio of people you meet and possible outcomes in the future based on which event you take and how you perform in there. Also; there is no manual save. Game will only save when you are in overview map, meaning once you complete an event - you are stuck with choices you have made. No save scumming here. I do like the flow game has, writing and music fits the mood and choices you need to make are interesting. Game has different routes and outcomes, so it may be worth playing through more than once to reveal all sides for the story. Is the game exceptional with story or gameplay? No, not really. On discount, you get couple evenings worth of nice experience tho.
Game is separated on 3 different episodes, where you will play different character on each episode (after completing the game you can play any character on any episode). 2nd episode with Urd was my absolute favourite. Each character has slightly different weapons to use and each have 3 different spells to help you out. All characters were fun to play with, but 3rd episode felt rather rushed after midway through the episode; while chapters on episodes took around 20-30 minutes to complete with all secrets found (on hard difficulty), 3rd episodes last half took less than 10 minutes and all secrets felt like they were right in the beginning of the chapter. Last episode felt rather unwhelming overall, which left a bit unsatisfied feeling when credits rolled. Nevertheless, you will get a lot of fun with this game and if you like these kinds of games, then this is one of the better ones out there.
This is basically puzzle solving game seasoned with some good humour. Puzzles tend to be on easier side overall, there is a good voice acting and lots of funny references. Completing the game took me about 6 hours - so it is rather short experience. Definitely something refreshingly different compared to many other similiar games on the genre.
This is shortish point-and-click game with couple of puzzles, which are not too difficult to figure out. I feel main thing in this game was walking around sceneries and enjoy little apathic sounding Finnish conversations. So in other words, your typical Finnish talk. I really liked atmosphere that was made for this and while mentioning apathic voice acting might ring negatively, i liked it also - it did fit the melancholic theme well and further enhance mentality i got from this game. Also liked the accent that was used. By far this is nothing groundbreaking or give you story that would make you tremble. As an experience to play through once.. well, i feel kind of nice. I liked it, dont regret buying it.
I was surprised how much i end up enjoying this. Note tho that i am not exactly core audience but can be grasped if certain aspects are done well enough. Game includes 3 playable characters and each has 4 subclasses to play with. While each characters playstyle is different to each other, subclasses further divides the focus of each character. They are done very well and gives distinctive feeling for each subclass that i enjoy to play through without feeling too much similiarities to the last one. Your deck consist of skills, attacks, specials, talents, maybe curses.. Cards you find for each character are different; while ones skills are raising defence for self, others are for buffing self and ally instead. They do require you to play bit differently. While story itself isnt anything great, i loved how each character reacts to different events, how they can be solved differently and short conversations they prompt up. It is good to note that many events are multilayered; they require more than one visit time to uncover story and all possible outcomes/choices for them, sometimes also requiring you to reach other event elsewhere to continue first event. I loved this overall and how it is treated between characters: you will gain new point of views and kind of further unlock the event when activating it with different character. Also something i wish i figured out earlier during my playtime: if you choose to play challenges and manage to complete them, you will unlock permament buffs/equipment/slots and such for each of the characters respectively. Challenges are short and slightly randomized variations of original "story mode" with different disadvantages thrown at you. Just do better than me and actually do go and gain permaments before actually beating true final boss with each character. I just love this game, hope for even more possible DLCs to be revealed in the future. Now excuse me while i go and play one more run after this review before hitting the bed.

This is really well done old school RPG. While some have noted this is difficult game, i kind of disagree; you just need to understand the rather simple mechanics on game. Especially food crafting and resting on camps; take full advantage of those. If you like to discover and search every corner, you will find plenty of ingredients to make meals that will heal your party. When finishing the game, i had literally hundreds of meals finished waiting in my inventory. You just need to have interest on exploring to make game much more easier/tolerable if combat feels challenging. Story and characters felt good and fitted nicely to overall atmosphere in the game and lore. Music is absolutely fantastic and i didnt feel once bored or fatigued by games length and progression. Hopefully we will someday see possible sequel or game in same universe. Definitely recommended.
This is really greatly done shortish game with enjoyable ride for anyone who likes Resident Evil and games alike. Game includes multiple secrets, unlockables you gain after playthrough depending on how you have done during your playthrough, different scenarios.. absolutely fantastic experience. This is game you MUST play through at least once in your life if you like these kinds of games.
So this DLC includes 3 short, voice acted stories for different characters. Some of the content in them is just "for fun" and some actually telling about story mentioned during main game - nothing groundbreaking though. If you like characters a lot and enjoy some side storytelling for couple bucks, then by all means go ahead and buy. Just know you wont get anything else than these couple of minutes long stories.
