Vampire: The Masquerade® - Bloodlines™ 2

not a sequel to bloodlines or an rpg

the game's combat can be fu thats about it. the game just isn't an rpg. Its an action game with walking sim elements. writing is kinda bland too. They fired the talent they brought back from bloodlines 1 to make 2 and replaced them with walking sim devs. the game should have stayed buried pun intented .at least they might have been a chance for a proper rpg. the characters aren't very memorable or well written. the is no character that is memerable as nines, the voerman sisters, or beckett. also the side missons are more like errends in bloodlines than actual fun side quests like in bloodlines 1. the hardlabs bl2 version was cancelled an so should have bloodlines 2 been cancelled with it. might be worth it on deep sale otherwise you better off playing the first game

Fallout: London

unstable

Very high quailty mod voice acting is top notch. but the mod is just very unstable. constent crashing. The combat and movement felt off probably do to stuttery framerate. also the load screens are long almost 2 to 3 minutes somtimes longer. I also don't agree with some of the design choices such as unskippable convesration cutscenes or unkillable named npcs or not adding the skills system from new vegas and 3 back. I also don't like how so far if you chose to ether play as a male or female character npcs don't refer to you as such. The unkillable npc probelm was one of the main critisms of fallout 4 when compared to new vegas were every named npc except children were killable so its kind of a werid design choice. The traidional dailogue system is back and so is the slient playable character which is a design choice I agree with as fallout 4s system sucked. I'm sure the mod team will fit the mod so its not unstable but until then I reccomend waiting to play the mod then. Its free so there is no harm at least adding the mod to your library. although I don't why it says offer end august 1st. I know I said more negitive things about the mod than postive but thats because I want the mod to get fixed and I'm sure it will as its reallyis just the crashs , long load screens and bugs that drag it down the rest of the issues I have are just nitpicks I have with some design choices. also unfortuntly gog you can't change the review after its posted so if it gets fixed its probably a 4 out of 5 stars.

Dishonored®: Death of the Outsider™

DLC

It is expandalone dlc for d2. It also really short 3 to 4 hrs maybe 5. The new powers just suck. no new combat powers. and the new powers are just different versions of already existing powers but tweaked. The chaos system is complety removed. the level design also kinda sucks. liked the side content but it just exists to really pad out the games length because without it the game would take only 2 and half hrs or 3 hrs to beat. And this Dlc isn't even as close to good as dishonored's 1 knife of dunwall and Brigmore witches. buy on sale. They also completly got rid of upgrading powers. also the ending of this dlc has huge ramfications for dishonored 3 because of what happens to the outsider and the void in the end. also this dlc feels like it killed off the dishonored series for a while as nethier this or d2 sold as well as d1. also d2 didn't really innovate as it was just d1 done worse with more powers. this DLC is d2 but worse with less powers.

Dishonored 2

not as good as 1

The combat improvements an the new powers are great. The problem is the recycled story from the Daud dlc from 1 by reusing the same villain as it invalidates players who may have decided to kill the villain from the dlc or who decided to spare the villain by trapping her in the painting as she comes back. This could have been allivated by having an import saves from dishonored 1 and its dlc or not using the same villain again. also the villians in the game are more cartoonishly evil unlike dishonored 1 which involved mostly corrupt politicions siezing power. None off the new assassin targets are interesting and there is less of them. also a missed oppurtinty to have a misson or even a few missons like lady Boyles last party as you can play as an empress. also the game doesn't seem to preform as well as dishonored 1. also kill and coke animations take longer to play out. I argue dishonored 1 had better level design than 2. yeah dishonored 2s levels are bigger and some are gimmiky doesn't make them better. the clockwork mansion is pretty good but a missed oppuntunity to have an alternate assassination method which the game is sorely lacking from 1. It seems also that there is less alternate entry points to locations and alot of them feel more segmented. also the nonlethal option for targets is kind boring compared to 1 as there isn't really a side quest attached to any of them and the game bascilly hand holds the player by giving the player information on how to take the target out nonlethally. most nonlethal options in the game are target loses memory, power is taken away, or target is cured. the only intersting nonlethal option is duke abele and thats because it actually takes work to do and is more similar to dishonored 1.

Deus Ex 2: Invisible War

game is pretty much unplayable

game doesn't even start up. and when you try to get the game to work it stops working after the game loads. level design is awful as well. also doesn't really feel like a deus ex game as its way too futuristic istead of this game being set in the near future like the first or even its prequels.

Alan Wake

okay not great

The writing in the game isn't very good an is purposely a cliche of Twin peaks and other horror shows. It doesn't really have much of its own idenity. the consent narration is also a very annoying creative descison. The game also isn't really scary and has very limited enmey varity. The controls are really janky and the games camera is frusturating. level design is very linear and railroaded mostly having to do with this game orginally going to be open world then changed to be a linear game because of the 360s technology restrictions . The games combat really sucks and there seems to be only three or four different guns in the game. Also the game just feels poorly designed. I also was bored most of the time because the writing and Just the character of Alan Wake is bland and has little personality. The gunplay is probably some of the worst in any horror game I've played and this is coming from the devs that made max panye that made gunplay one of its main focus with bullet time. Alan Wake 2 looks 10 times better from the gameplay I've seen and its probably best to just skip this one and play the sequel as Alan wake 1 feels like a waste of time as its kinda boring.

Assassin's Creed®: Director's Cut

terrible pc port

game is kinda trash as the pc port sucks. the game would consently freeze and change to window mode. the controler support for this game also sucks as it reads your controller as joystick support. The game it self is okay. the parkor system is great but not much else. It isn't a very good stealth game ether as nethier are any of the assassin games. also its kind of bad at being an assassin game as dishonored and the hitman games have done a way better job. The animus subplot is also extermly stupid. Its also very restrictive for an open world game as the game will penalize you for playing the game gta style by making you die because the devs said so. It maybe is an openworld game but it isn't a sandbox game. also this game and game series layed the groundwork for lazy copypasted open world games by ubisofts and others. There isn't much innovation in ac 1 besides the parkor system and crowd system. I wish AC 2 was on gog with better controls and a better pc port.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty

on par with blood and wine

The expansion is about as big as blood and wine in length. Also the expanison as a bit of replayvalue as well as you can't see everything in the expanison in one play through. The new game ending is better in some ways and bad as I think the ending suffer from some bad writing choices as some characters kinda of act out of character in order for the ending to be on par as having a bad outcome with all the other main endings. Dogtown is bascilly an area that was in the main game that wasn't finished and was the other half of pacfica. So it is and isn't a new area techincally as orginally it was suppose to be in the main game but it was left unfinished and inaccessible until now. Dogtown is small but very detailed and has alot of enterable interiors. Gig quests are better than the main game and wish the main game had the same quality of gig quests as Dogtown as most in the main game were lacking. Their new cyberware techinically but unfortunly there is no new cyberarms as I kinda thought at least we would get those flamethrower arms shown off by an npc in the game. Kinda a missed oppurnity. Also the new face cyberware is kind usless as it only effects losing your wanted level and there is no diguse system to it really. Descisons in this expanison have alot more impacts than the main game as descison making and impacts in the base game was mostly relgated to side missons unlike phantom liberty where your descisons in the main missions actully have impacts. although I think it was amissed opportuinty to not incorperated the gambling mini game that was in one of the main missons as an activity you could particpate in, in dogtown. relic skill tree is pretty awesome as well and the new side missions and car stealing activity missons and airdrops.

Dragon Age™: Origins - Ultimate Edition

pc port is terrible

dragon orgins is great but the pc port is not. crashes often, texture bugs. can't reccomend unless you want to find fan made patches which I've found none. Since this is EA I doubt they will patcha neally 15 year old game as they can't even release new games like Jedi Survior to run well on pc. What should happen is a remaster retaining the combat system and bascilly fixing the game. My cocern is if they were to remaster the game they would try to wokafiy censor or uglyfiy the female characters in the game.
