Damn i was so excited buying this game to bring back all the good memories....i forgot to look at the reviews to see how this pc port was....but then again i was so confident GOG wouldn't just half ass it and fix the pc port so us casuals can enjoy....but no....unfortunately all they did was make it work on windows 10....they didnt even bother trying to fix the issues this game has, or improve the gameplay on mouse & keyboard....now its up to me to find a way to fix this damn horrible pc port.....what a huge disappointment....so if you dont know how to fix this game, dont bother....just go buy a used ps1/ps2 and buy the game online from someone....unless they fix this i cant see how to give it a better review....
I never got the opportunity to play this game, as I was just a kid, around 7 years old, and the only thing I had was an old nintendo. When I got older I finally built my gaming pc, and mostly to try out old games I never got a chance to play. Doom, with mods made it an amazing experience. Then started seeing other build engine games and ran into this game. Wow, so awesome to play this game. And the amount of quality in it! I have only passed the first 2 levels and already got more hrs into it than more modern games these days will give you at a 60 dollar price tag. So far my favorite level is the first chapter, very fun, and full of creativity.
I cant believe I never knew about this game. Unbelievable how many options this game gives you. It took me close to 40hrs to complete it. Yes its a good game, not its not perfect. I liked how the story takes a turn depending on your decisions. The melee is okay, but the gunplay sucks. I wish it was better, and not have to rely so much in upgrading it. But this game is more for the adventure. Every quest and side quest's are unique. It never does those same fetch boring or dragged quests games such as assassings creed odyssey does. Here the side quests feel as good as witcher 3 side quests feel. So awesome how there is even boss fights. My only complain is I wishe it would have been open world, and the gunplay. Other than that, the story, the quests, the freedom of choice, as well as the powers you can get, are awesome!
If you enjoyed system shock 2 and bioshock, you will enjoy prey too. This game is very underrated and for me it just demonstrates how arkane studios knows what they are doing. I got this game on steam and later saw it came out here in gog. If i would have known that i would have waited to buy it here!

iam so happy there are still game developers creating 90s retro fps games! Hopefully this can become a normal thing, and just the beggining for more fps games to come! Just like dusk, ion fury, amid evil etc!
This review has nothing to do with the actual game...more on the pc version of this game. I really want to play this game...but sadly, i cant even launch the game...i will try to get a reffund....but worst part is i heard even the steam version has a lot of problems....dammit, i really didnt want to play this game on a console....
I was excited to finally play this old masterpiece of a game since i just built my first pc for gaming, and heard so much of games like doom and quake changing the game. So i finally get quake 1, and i noticed it was very quiet during gameplay....then i saw some guy on youtube playing, and heard some awesome music in the background. I thought my game had a glitch that didnt include the music....nope....later i found out it doesnt include it....i cant believe it. Dude id pay a bit more if i could have the music added....it just isnt the same without music...its actually kind of sad....
This is one of those games that will take over your life. Gameplay is awesome, graphics are awesome, music is awesome, story is awesome. Also dont skip over ANY of the side quests, even those are amazing. Just a very organic story with amazing characters. Once i finished this game, i felt lost, and until this day I always go back to re play this masterpiece. I think I have passed this game 3 times at the least! Oh and the DLC's are basically games of their own, also amazing.
