Today is my fist day playing this raving game. I was just board and I figured I'd just waste six dollars on something I could play every now and then...boy was I wrong. I did spent six dollars but on something that is so evil that you want to get away from it, but the demons must possess thru the keyboard! Mr. Nukem, please move over for about six years...I'll be on this.
While I can truly say that I did not experiance these when they were first released I can say that they are over rated and trash. I'm glad to see that for the first S.W.A.T. that start-stop motion I love in games that makes it as real as you could, however this does not make up for the seemingly endless tutorials, it was close to three hours of reading and participating before the first mission even started. Now that I thought I could play at last, I was wrong, I had to sit through ten more minutes of briefing before it allows to "play" then it plops you in the middle of it with no idea where to go or what to do. Do not even bother trying to instal the first. The second S.W.A.T. was more of a relaxed setting, and the tutorials were short and to-the-point, however like the first, it just plops you in the middle with no idea how to use anything or what to do. I can see why they are great games for some people and average for most people, but to me they are something that was pure cash in. Yes you get two games for $9.99, but that $9.99 seems like a lifesavings. I recomend watching play videos from somewhere and look at every review possible and buy at your own risk.
While I must admit I was a little dissapointed in the end. It had its moments where it shined. The story was unoriginal and very bland, just because you chop it into pieces and throw it around out of order does not mean it will become good. The sounds and music are indeed chilling and the cimitaics are amazing. Gameplay wise it was fun trying to solve puzzels and explore.
