So, the game, is old, VERY old. But pass that, it's really interesting to see how the RTS gendra started, how the magnificent world of warcraft (The world not the game) was invented. Sure it's hard on the first minutes, it's not what you expect from an rts on the commands may be, but once you get the heck of it, it's truly a nice experience. Thank you GoG !
I couldn't get that one on CD so I gave it a try here. Well it's fun, got old a little but .. Who cares it's so fun to create your own units and be a crazy genetist.
Kinda clunky may be at first. But when you get the idea it's a really fun game! Press R for the best resolution and enjoy.
The game is nice, full of stuff to do, some of the features are on this game only BUT, it's not really welcoming, the first combat are gonna make you cringe. I litteraly lost all my troops on some city for god knows which reason. I would recommend to play 4 first and then come to this opus.
If you love Strategy games, which would take your time this is the one. Way more complete than its successor which still can't give the same feeling to this day. Also, the combat is not broken as Civ 3. Trust the review, tho, if you don't know what is it about, wait for a sale.
Oh my oh my, that serie of game if not only a pure bless, but this one comes with monsters and heroes. It's a city builder set in ancient greece, but really the monsters, heroes and gods make this one more unique than the other sets (Pharaoh, emperor, Rome). If you should only get one, get this one.
After playing a few hours I have to admit that I enjoyed my time more than I imagined. The game is simple, not crazy crazy beautiful but it is fun. I enjoyed roaming the sees and picking up fights with almost any faction, Then I tried to be a nice Human from the empire. Only the empire prevail right ? Sometimes the game had crashes, sometimes it was a little weird, some animations take time to get used to but overhall it is a good game.
Well let's not lie, the game didn't age perfectly but it still a lot of fun if you enjoy those early 2000 fps, quality one, not the trash ones. But let's face it, it could get a little boring for some of the parts, and it's still not perfect for stability, I had to reload some of the save for the reverend cause of my caracter glitching under the ground while inside a cinematic. It's still very lovely, I love this western style, and well, it's worth a try since it's not overpriced.
Okay.. It's old and the sequel may be more interesting for "mordern' tastes but give it a try it's gonna make you feel like you're still playing with an Atari ST ... Good old days when I was a kid ...
I don't know if it's because of the nostalgia but this game still get to me anytime, as soon as I launch it I can't stop thinking that it never gets old, it's really a resonnable price for the AMAZING time you can spend in this game. Ah seeing those guys moving around my city, never gets old.
