I really really loved this game in the 90ies. And it still has a lot of appeal. Back then the graphics were really great (even though it is only EGA!), especially the FMVs. They created a Blade Runner atmosphere and together with the game's open world feeling this got me hooked for months, if not years. I played this game over and over. Sure, it has its drawbacks, like the perspective, but I could always look over those. If you can look over some flaws in a game as well this is really worth checking out.
I love these games so much, especially History Line and Incubation. All of these games are worth their money and will provide gaming food for many months. If you don't mind the aged look you will get some of the best strategy games ever.
I like this game, but mainly cause it was the very first title I ever played with a 3d acceleration card :) It's solid action with graphics which were breathtaking back in the time. Nowadays you can still play it without getting eye cancer (which can not be taken as given for 3d games from that time). If you didn't play it back then you probably won't like it now.
Definitely one of my most favourite experiences in the 1990ies. Hardly any games have been able to suck me into their worlds like these two. Ultima Underworld has set standards for decades to come, this was the first smoothly scrolling dungeon available in a maintream AAA product, the magic system was different from what you ever saw before and the variety of worlds (part 2) was amazing. I love those games up to this day. The combat music is in my ears right now. Gotta play. :)
