I completed the game today and it´s really great! Presentation: It´s has got really nice pixelart and the storytelling works, even without a written and / or spoken word. Also the music is a great mix: Reminds me of synthie wave combined with X-Files, Monkey Island and others. Gameplay: The gameplay countains of running, jumping, doging, fighting, exploring, upgrading, crafting, building and surviving. All of those components are well combined with each other and necessary for beating the game. It feels like the game would have got it´s origins the 1990´s. But instead of being like a game of the last century, it expanded the "Metroidvania" expierence, with crafting and building. The game has got his own twist. Sometimes it´s challenging, sometimes it´s hard, but it´s never not fair. Technical issues: After nearly 12 hours of playing, I hadn´t even seen a bug! Currently, I am using Windows 11. Works and runs great, especially with a X-Box Controller. Recommendation: I would recommand everyone this game, who is into games like Ark, Subnautica and the genre of "Metroidvania". Generally, the game isn´t hard. But it´s really a special, positive gaming expierence. There are several allusions to the pop culture, which are waiting to get found by you! I hope to see more of this game! Maybe an add-on or a new entrie into the series? ;)
First of all: I wrote this review after completing the main game Cyberpunk 2077 (v. 2.0) and at the add-on Liberty City in one row, after 63 hours of gaming. Second: I had some technical issues. For example my game crashed permanently after some hours of gaming, because my GPU driver (AMD) died. In game, I had some clipping issues: NPC´s stucked in objects (happened rarely), my character felt through the bottom of the map (happened ones), my vehicles stucked several times in objects. Two times I wasn´t able to finish a mission, because of the mission objects weren´t triggered. So, I had to reload an older savegame and play the mission, again. After the reloading, it works. Third: The new district of Night City, it is very small compared to the rest of the Night City map. It´s more like an extention of the Pacifca district. Fourth: The new cars in game are very nice. Some of them are tanks on wheels. Of course, it´s a lot of fun to kill opponents with them. Fifth: The story is interesting with a lot of decisions for the player and twists. Sixth: The gameplay, most of the time you will play in the new district. Some sidequests are leading you between the "old" Night City districts and the "new" Liberty City. All components of the base game are available and expanded for example threw the new skill tree. There are also new types of enemy hives, where you will find a lot of enemies and better loot. Conclusion: I will recommend the add-on to everyone, who liked the base game. It´s a nice and fine addition for a fair price. 4 of 5 stars, because the new "area" is to small for my taste and also the techinical issues.
For me it´s the best Shooter of 2019. The level are very well designed, there are many secrets in it, they are huge and threw scripting events they´ll change their look. The gameplay is fast and tons of enemies are in front of you, especially in the late game. After 15h 28m I beat the game. Now, I´m waiting for an Ion Fury 2 ;)
The best PC game of the year 2014! I love it! It starts easy and gets harder and harder. If you like the old Mega Man games, you´ll like this game, too. The pixel art and the different types of level are very charming. Also, the sounds fits perfectly. It´s like a flashback into the ´90s, as games were hard and full of love to details. Next year I´ll buy a New 3DS and this game will be bought a second time. So, grab your controller and have a lot of fun :)
This game a gem and I´ve got lot of fun with it. If you love TDs with a lot of strategy depth, it´s the right game for you :)
