I was and stll am a fan of the first Majesty game, the idea and humor are neat and the mechanics are simple but serviceablle The strategical and tactical options were limited but the fascination to watch your city grow and buzz with life is weirdly satisfying. Except from the 3D graphics Majesty 2 is very similar to 1, yet better. There are some additions like the Hall of Lords to import heroes from previous levels, new skills and spells, in the inn you now can band a party of heroes together etc etc. So, there are many new things to enjoy. Guilds now house in most cases one less hero, big deal. Its hard to understand the demands for exactly the same game and complaints that this or that is different now, and was so much better in the orignal and blablala..., then go play the first Majesty. If you want to experience some new things and enhanced complexity based on the original concept I do recommend to try this one out.

I think the portraits are really well done, I like them and you can pick them up for 0.79€ on sale. But if you want to export your character with one of these portraits to BGII, tough luck, they do not register there and you have to pick a new one if you do not want to fidle with the import of portraits in the folder. I cannot recommend this DLC, thats because of its implementation and the ineptitude of Beamdog
