Amnesia: Rebirth

The beginning already has bugs

Frictional really released an unfinished game, thank god I try to stay away from modern games. The beginning is a walking simulator and constant interruptions, boring story and character, no atmosphere. Come on guys.. I will try to force myself to the boring beginning as I see the people say it will get better later

Destroy All Humans!

Proper quality game I love it!

Nowadays, quality games are very rare, even though this is a 2005 remake, to me it was a new experience since I have not played the original, I absolutely love this, favorite aspects of this game for me are responsive controls, insanely good graphics as I usually play 6th gen games, and comedy approach, the game was funny multiple times. Small nitpicks - the original audio was used, which is lower quality than the rest of the sounds, for a musician it was very noticeable and kinda distracting. Some side missions were a bit boring, as I prefer more linear experience as opposed to an open world. Static loading screen. As I have an HDD as opposed to SSD, the loadings were kinda long, and looking at the same closeup of the alien was kinda strange sometimes. The optimization is amazing! I played on FX 8320 3.5GHz, GTX 1060 6GB, 8GB DDR3 RAM, in 1080p ULTRA settings in 60fps!! So yeah with my setup I played it on Ultra, even tho my CPU is kinda old but I guess CPUs have not improved much in years haha. Thank you THQ for releasing this on GOG! I hope Frictional Games will release Amnesia Rebirth on GOG too. I wish the DNA and Crypto 137 editions came with a GOG code too, or the user could choose, as I do not like Steam. Big up to everyone involved with this

ASYLUM Demo

I really do not like this

seems like a cheap game with loads of boring text, plus the graphics made me sick, I wanted to quit the game after 2 minutes, The dialogue at the hotel was not even dubbed? Thank god this demo was free, I respect to point and click adventure games, like Dracula or Scratches, but I did not feel any type of enjoyment in this. This is why GOG is so underrated, a lot of their games are indie titles like this. Even tho GOG has a really amazing potential if they convinced more actual developers to go DRM free. I want to Rockstar join GOG so badly. Rockstar has amazing games but their DRM like Social Club and Rockstar games launcher is so off-putting. Ubisoft and Bethesda already joined GOG, that is absolutely amazing if they convinced Rockstar that would be superb

Call of Cthulhu®

a joke

a joke compared to Call of Cthulhu Dark Corners of The Earth I was kinda looking forward to this game, but it has no soul and is boring. I have played much worse games than this. But compared to Dark Corners of The Earth this is absolutely embarrassing. Buy that instead!

Mafia Classic

No Django Reinhardt? For real?

This is my favourite game of all time, and I believe any Slovak or Czech would say the best game of all time. However, without the music, this game is like sex without love. Still enjoyable, but it's just not it. And I am not playing Mafia in this state. I know I can get some of the music back, but not all of it. I respect GOG for all the hard work, but they have to fix this, in order for me to get money out of this masterpiece game. I would seriously love to have this game DRM FREE in my GOG library (I bought the second Mafia on GOG too), and be able to run it right away on Windows 10 or any new OS Microsoft throws right at us. But I can't buy it without music. Django Reinhardt is dead for 67 years, I am sure he won't mind having his music in this re-release.

SOMA

surely a quality game

what I really love about this game is the controls. they are very smooth, gets me super excited for Amnesia Rebirth. What I don't kinda like is that the game is a bit boring to me, Frictional does not use combat since Penumbra Overture, which is a shame IMO.

Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth

one of the best games ever

GOG fixed most glitches that were on Steam and Retail versions. That is absolutely brilliant. Only technical criticism I have, that I have to apply the widescreen fix by myself because the game is not natively 16:9, only stretched 4:3. Fortunately, that is easily fixable. Another improvement could be the Czech subtitles that were in the retail version. The music, story, atmosphere, gameplay, voice acting, is absolutely brilliant in this game. Highly recommend!
