BioShock™ 2 Remastered

Good game, terrible port.

I came into this game excited and optimistic about the port, since Bio1 Remaster played just fine, with no crashes at all and just some odd audio issues that can be fixed with setting the game up to use 7.1 sound. But this one, the crashes, the strange audio mixing (everything just seems weirdly muted and numb), slight graphical glitches just makes the experience not as good and made want to quit permanently several times, specially during the DLC, the fact that it auto saves every hour or so (and sometimes crashes during SAVES!) does not help. The game itself is ok, not as impressive as the first one, but the combat is faster and smoother. I would say play the classic version of this one just to be sure, if that one crashes a lot too, well, that is just a bad release from GOG and I am dissapointed that they released this in such a lackluster state.

BioShock™ Remastered

Would you kindly buy this game?

Whatever I have to say has been said before and in better ways, this game is an absolute masterpiece and a modern classic, revolutioned and standarized so many things we take for granted in modern FPS and games in general. The remastered version in my case worked fine and looked amazing, maybe not a big upgrade in comparison with the original but it looks great either way. Be sure to change your audio mode to 7.1 or ProLogic, stereo does not work correctly in many cases. Just get this game!

Hard Reset Redux

Awesome, Fast Paced Cyberpunk FPS Action

AMAZING! Absolutely fantastic game, with stunning visuals, and more importantly, a very defined and beautiful cyberpunk artstyle and enviroment. There is really nothing objectively "bad" with this game, the gameplay is frenetic, fast paced, the shooting is solid an feels great, beautiful graphics, and a meh story, but the other aspects more than make up for it. My only complaints would be the following: 1) Sometimes the graphical effects (specially lens flare and bloom) can be just too much, and can actually impair your ability to see the surroundings, I did not find a way to completely turn those effects off without messing witht the feel of the game. 2) The enemy hit boxes (and yours, for that matter) are inconsistent, sometimes you would swear a projectile hit an enemy, but nope, it just grazed its body so it doesnt count. Also you have a huge hitbox and somehits you swear you dashed away from, connect. All my complaints and problems with this game are offset by the fact that it cost me $1.66 on a sale, less than I normally spend on my damned lunch, now that is value! Thank you Flying Wild Hog, now on to Shadow Warrior 2013!

Mafia II (Classic)

Great mob story with good characters

Nothing but good memories with this game, a bit short but that is a good thing, since it has little to no filler, instead focusing on telling a great story with really well written and developed characters. The gameplay is nothing to write home about but is fun enough to keep you invested in it. It also has some of the best 40s/50s atmosphere and aesthethic in a game ever. A must have for any fan of crime/mob stories.
