We are the Dwarves

Underestimated game

After reading all the negative comments, I thought that this game would be very mediocre. We are the Dwarves has a lot of flaws (minor bugs that occasionally affect the gameplay and could be a little bit frustrating at times) but overall this is a decent game that takes place in a very unique world. It takes some time to get used to the user interface but once you feel comfortable with it you are good to rock and roll. Also, the voice acting is absolutely awful, and the ending really sucks! A good ★★★!

Torchlight

As hollow as a drum of war

Whether you played Torchlight back in the day or today, this game doesn't deserve the hype at all. Just because some Diablo (and Fate) designers got involved in the project doesn't make it the "spiritual successor" of Diablo. This dull game is a pale copy of Diablo.

Simon the Sorcerer 2

Only one thumb up

Whereas Simon 1 deserves a 2 thumbs up, Simon 2 deserves "just" one. Don t get me wrong, this is not a bad game at all. I enjoyed it, but not as much as I did enjoy the 1st episode. Simon s voice acting has changed a little bit. Simon 1 sounded more British to me. Simon 2 is more arrogant, no, in fact, he has become totally obnoxious ! I enjoyed his sarcasms though. You will encounter many weirdos and you will have the pleasant surprise to see some of the characters that you have met in Simon 1. You will face very interesting puzzles that take place in many various scenes, even though some of these puzzles are tough to solve because they are not very logical. I won t spoil any, but you will know what I mean if you play the game :) That s part of the fun I guess... Simon 2 is also a longer game, and to be honest, I don t know if it s a real bonus. The last act of the game is quite boring for the most part, and that s mainly why I enjoyed Simon 1 better. Wait until you meet those role players though... you will love that scene, I guarantee it ! Speaking of scenes, they added a useful feature : the F10 key. Indeed, F10 allows you to show up all the items that you can interact with.

Simon the Sorcerer

2 thumbs up.

Though he has no gift for magic, Simon is a great entertainer, with a great sense of humor. It s a real pleasure to help Simon through his adventure, in this fascinating world. You will encounter many strange characters and face puzzles that give you enough material to enjoy the game for a long time. Needless to say that Simon s British accent adds a particular flavor to the game.
