I cannot for the life of me understand the appeal of this game. What little interest the ridiculous puzzles give me, the cheesy music, cartoonish atmosphere and ridiculous voice acting suck away. I have forced myself to play it for 3 days, hoping that I will discover it's charm (I miss the early 90's adventure games as much as the next 30 year old), but instead, my saved game bugged out and skipped the cans puzzle, forcing me into a dungeon where an awful Vincent Price impersonator repeats the same damned phrase over and over again when I hit a dead end. The controls suck. The music wasn't bad, but hardly builds an atmosphere, and most of the script is built on terrible puns. The puzzles differ wildly in difficulty from brain-dead simple to frustratingly obtuse, but I couldn't get very far before deciding that the game simply isn't worth opening ever again. If you really hate your free time and think that Goosebumps is great horror writing, then this game is for you. Otherwise, go play something else. Anything else.
