Four stars for story Two stars for it's linearity Five stars for the music score One star for it's bad support of modern systems (yeah, it runs, but has a lot of issues. You can play it to the end, but it will crash often) One star for it's ending (it ends abruptly) Five stars for the gameplay concept (possession is really fun) Two stars for gameplay implementation (shooting is really a pain, you always feel weak) Again, it's a mixed bag. If you haven't played it in the past, buy it only on sale. For others, nostalgia will make this game shine. I personally enjoyed it, despite its flaws.
This game is simply amazing, one of the greatest adventure I've ever played. It's really long, puzzles are well balanced and intuitive, without being too easy. There are lots of dialogues, mouse and controller support (while tank-controls remains the best), interesting characters and an engaging story-arch that spans across several years. Also, do yourself a favour and play the game with audio commentary ON. It's extremely interesting and adds a lot to the value of this remaster. The only downside it's a common one with a lot of GOG releases from lazy devs: no trophies. Apart from that, this game it's worth every penny. Just buy it.
This game is AWESOME, way better on many aspects compared to the previous one. You get the choice to play as Corvo or Emily. If you already played Dishonored 1, do yourself a favour and pick Emily. She is badass, she is an empress, she's deadly as Corvo. The acting is good (played in Italian) You still can't see yourself (you are like a ghost) but the gameplay is smooth. This time your character speaks and that's awesome. The only downside, to me, is the finale. After everything you went through to get your empire back, you defeat the main antagonist and that's it. In the final movie recapping your choices during the playthrough, few is said. Still, an awesome game worth of playing. To anybody having crash/performance issues, just pump up your Virtual Memory and problem solved.
Great FPS with lots of RPG elements and parkour-like stuff. Good story writing, solid acting (I played it with the Italian dubbing). The major "flaw" is that you can't see yourself (no feet, no arms, no body, just the hands) and you don't speak, ever! No matter the drama unfolding in front of you. Corvo Attano doesn't talk for the entire game. Apart from that, solid game.
If you love adventure games, you'll love this one. It's a memorable journey in the life of Rosangela Blackwell. This game has emotions, friendship, drama and mistery. There are plot twists along the series, non of them I was able to foresee, or maybe I was too invested in the story to actually try to foresee. The art is really nice. I was skeptical about having a different artist for each episode, but that turned out really nice. It's like looking into different moments of the personal journey of the characters. Voice over is really good. I absolutely loved the voice of Rebecca Whittaker, the woman behind Rosangela, the main character. And last, but not least, each episode is filled with extras, like bloopers, concept arts and dev commentary. The only con I can think of, is the lazyness of the dev to not implement GOG achievements in the game. This series is 10 out of 10.
In this new adventure, you'll continue Rufus' journey along with his girlfriend Gal (Goal, in English? can't remember) In this new chapter you'll get more crazyness and huge scenarios. You'll get into troubles when Gal personality gets splitted into 3 parts. Yes, you get it right. You'll have to deal with three different aspects of Gal and do your best (or worse) to glue them back together. It's a fun point-and-click game, what else can I say? Just buy it.
