Isometric - chess like board with 3 main characters (and their variants), lots of monsters and turns and cards that add permanent bennefits to your main characters. It is a very interesting and unique approach to turn-based combat. Having played it all the way to max difficulty i can say that: - It isnt very finely tuned but it will do ok for the first difficulty levels. - It is too repetitive if played for a long time but really cool for the first 20 hours for sure. - It is really REALLY fun to play and 100% worth the price if you like turn based / grid based strategy. 100% worth it!
As far as single player deck-card games, no other game does it close to this one. There are 4 heroes, 4 ways to play the game and all 4 have plenty of cards to make every single game different. Add to that artefacts and potions and this game can last for a long time. 100% recommended.
I have played my fair share of CRPGs. And phantom liberty and the 2.0 patch for cyberpunk make this a clear home run. Very few games have given me the sense of inmersion. - Storyline: 9,5 / 10 . Almost perfect, and yes, this is cyberpunk, expect bittersweet. - Characters: 9 / 10 . They are so good i wish we had more time with them. - Dogtown: 9 / 10 . Night city in general is better because of its unique neighborhoods and arquitecture but dogtown creates a clear distinct feeling. - Gameplay: 8.5 / 10 . It is much better than the original game, and quite enjoyable. - Replayibility: 7 / 10 . Probably its weakest atribute. Still , i've played the original game several times and plan to do the same with the expansion.
I havent played this game. I cant agree with games that have extensive amount of dlcs that are not aesthetic but real content which add more than the price of the original game. FFXIV did the same thing and i never even bothered with it.
An almost one-of-a-kind game. It is a "strategy" game in the sense that you need to conquer different areas. Simultaneously , getting the correct heroines to win the war is a must. It also has a plot triggered by different events, dungeons and to top it all, H-scenes. As a strategy game it is by no means something complicated but that is part of its charm. Definetly worthwhile to read a strategy guide since it doesnt hold your hand. Graphic wise it is a snes game.... so dont expect anything advanced, H scenes are drawn panels, not really animated. Overall a very interesting game if you can handle the whole being a 20 year old game. I had tons of fun with it.
