People of color presented as smart, progressive, while whites are presented as simple-minded idiots. Every couple is either interracial or gay. And Japan - a country which chooses to limit immigration is called "ethno-fascist". Oh come on, gimme a break! I like Wadjet Eye games. I loved Shardlight. This THIS amount of woke-ism is just obnoxious.
Just finished it. Not too long, but that's not a bad thing for an adventure game. The characters are fun, the music is jazzy (pun intended), the graphics/look beautiful. Voodoo is treated with respect here. What's more, the backdrop is corporate greed destroying local businesses and traditional way of life, so all the better. But it's what actually happening now. In reality. But anyway, the biggest plus of the game is that IT HAS HEART! It is exactly what is missing in a lot of games nowadays. You can have a big budget, ramped up graphics, but so what if you don't feel the "heart"? This game got it in spades. RECOMMENDED!!!
Let me start by saying that I played almost ALL the Monkey Island games (still didn't play "Return") and loved them to bits. Yes, I get that it's a bit different than 1-3, it got a bit experimental but it's all good. Wacky humor is there, the puzzles are fun, story is bizzare but funky. And the game is sorta lampooning capitalism/ consumerism which is a huge plus for me. Anyway, I completely DON'T understand why some people think that Telltale's "Tales of Monkey Island" is better than Escape. Are you kidding me??? Hell no. Escape has still this hard-to-pinpoint LucasArts magic feel. Tales LOOK like Monkey Island, but IMHO something is missing. The "air" is different. Here it is still the good ol' Monkey Island! Give it a chance!

Yeah, 5 stars is a bit high for this, but there are waaaaaay too many negative comments. I've played Gemini Rue and Technobabylon from Wadjet but IMHO this is better! The previous ones are overrated, while this is underrated. The main heroine is likable and nice. Just a plain girl trying to get by, one can easily relate. While the situation where people are walking in masks on the streets, while "pandemik" rages. Does it remind you of something *cough* *cough*? ;) It has a retro, 90's feel about it. One of the coolest adventures games I've played. And it's very mature. Thumbs up!

One should NOT buy games that are censored. Why should I pay money for a damaged game. The game itself Commandos 2 is great, absolute tactical classic. But this version should go down the drain.
