This game has a lot going for it. It uses gore to great effect to create a dark atmosphere without being what I'd call "gross-out." The puzzles are pretty fair. The story is weird, in a good way. The music is good. Although you might occasionally miss an item the first time through a room, there's nothing I'd call "pixel hunting." But it's not all roses. The inventory system is buggy, sometimes locking up for no reason. The downside of puzzles that aren't too hard is that they often seem routine and uninspired--there's the old "key-and-newspaper" puzzle to retrieve a key that's been left in a lock, for example. And after building up a great story, the ending was cliched and uninspired (of course, you mileage may vary on that one).
