Those looking for another survival horror game where you stealth around and run from an enemy while you look for things, this game will definitely fill that palate well enough, and it's particularly disturbing to boot. But those looking for a proper Backrooms experience? You're better off looking to just about any other game based on it besides this one. It's merely a backdrop to the experience and story and not so much about the liminal spaces. That's not to say there's literally no interesting atmosphere or aesthetics, but this game didn't need to take place in the backrooms for it to be the way it is otherwise, and it's nothing like the actual Backrooms no matter what exact lore or whatever you're following or into. I give it a low score because I don't particularly enjoy games like this, but I have some interest in the Backrooms, so this is more a review for that audience. Even then, those who are into the Backrooms can enjoy this anyway, because either way those who don't care might have enough fun with this, so not everyone should take my low score to heart. It's just a strange angle in my eyes, just seems like it mixed one thing and another together and I don't feel it works as well at the thing I would've preferred, which was a Backrooms game.
