Very good 3D action platformer

I finished this game after about 11 hours. It's a very good game, but towards the end I just wanted to be done with it. The game is actually somewhat reminiscent of Ratchet & Clank as an indie title and it really was surprisingly varied for one. The developers kept coming up with new elements. For example, you could hack terminals (or shields), which was one of 4-5 mini-games each time. There were also flying scenes in space, driving passages, 2D fighting/jumping scenes, running on walls and much, much more. Unfortunately, there are also (fortunately few) passages where you have time pressure and one of them almost made me stop playing. But I persevered because the game is really well made. The game consists mainly of 3D platforming with firefights, but as I said there is a lot more. There's not too much to collect though, just the points you find in jars that you can use to buy/upgrade your special weapons and “lost data” that you find off the main path. These usually contain funny story texts, but I have to admit that I didn't read them all. Well, for fans of 3D action platformers, the game is thoroughly recommended, the level of difficulty ranges from “fairly easy” to “quite challenging”, but if even I can manage the game, then it can't be too hard :) I also want to mention that the (English) voice acting is really great and the cutscenes are really funny. Shipset, the hero's little sidekick, is really likeable!

Drova - Forsaken Kin

An ARPG you should really play!

This game is an amazing 2D pixelart openworld action RPG in the best possible way. I totally agree with all the other reviewers who praised this game, it's absolutely deserved. Almost everything has been said about this game, so I just wanted to add some additional points that the game has: - Fully customizable keyboard and mouse controls - Free saving whenever you want (except in combat, dialogs or cutscenes, which is totally fine by me) - Unlimited inventory (as far as I can tell, I've collected a TON and never ran into problems) - Two sets of weapons you can change with a button press (like in Diablo 2 or Titan Quest) I'm looking forward to all the rest the game has to offer, there a surprises waiting at every corner of the map! Enjoy!

Ziggurat 2 Soundtrack

Very awesome but a little too quiet!

If you like epic and orchestral music, this is definetly for you. The soundtrack has 22 tracks, most of which are pretty cool and "big"! The only problem is that the mp3s are quieter than most of my other music. It's not too big of a difference but I don't see why they would master the music that way. Well, you could use a tool to normalize them, that's up to you.

Toy Shire Demo

A great idea, made with love!

I've just played two levels of the demo and the full game will be an instant purchase. The game is fun and made with so much love and attention to detail. The music is nice too. If you like the concept of tower defense games, you're going to like this one, promised!

Angry Video Game Nerd I & II Deluxe

Really great retro platformer!

Since I know almost every video the AVGN ever made, I was aware that this game exists, James even made a video about his fan games including this one of course. The version that's now here on GoG has been changed a bit. They dropped the lives-system so you can now actually beat it, no matter how many times you die and believe me, you WILL die a lot. But the game manages to be FUN and not just frustrating. The checkpoints (NinToasters^^) are placed very fairly which means you will make progress, the levels are not too long and the bosses are not that difficult to beat. What's even more important is, is that the controls are very responsive and can be configured in the menus. The visuals are really cool and there's a ton of references to old popular games and AVGN episodes in each level! All in all, I agree with MadPilgrim, this game is a fun experience, no matter if you're a fan of the AVGN or not. I'm sooo happy that this games finally came to GoG, I wasn't even expecting it to ever be here, so it was an instant purchase!
