First things first, it's not the game for everyone, it's the one of "for geeks by geeks" - the ones that comes with tons of documentation. Also it forces the use of assembler based language, and some people might have problems with switching to low-level instruction thinking. But, if that doesn't scare you, nor does circuit theory you're right at home - or rather at work. As the game introduces the player to the mechanics, there is a feeling of evolution. You start with handful of parts, and are to construct simple circuits. As you progress more parts are unlocked. The game seems to be alive, you get mails from coworkers, even idiotic newsletter from HR. The circuit designer is very intuitive, plus first assignments are kind of tutorial, so you should have no problem with diving in. Prime example of easy to learn, hard to master. After finishing the assignment, you also get some nice graphs showing how well did you fare, considering 3 points - lines of code, power usage and actual cost. Also, the mounted in minigame, said solitare is ace, ideal for when you need a break, to stop seing impulses sent when you close your eyes. Very refreshing twist on freecell. And I'm not saying that just because her father is my boss :P To sum up, it's definitely not for everyone, but definitely worth its price, and definitely worth checking out. :)

4/5 seems a bit unfair, especially that I had a blast with it already with mechs, tanks and what not. But there is no map editor/creator, like there was in worms reloaded (where creating a challenge maps was a hobby and favourite passtime of mine), so there's this one star less. Other than that, well, I can't wait to tell friends and family I don't sleep a week long because I have worms :)

If you want some nice time well, that ereases your free time, look no further. As a fan of previous instalements I launched this game at like 9 in the morning, just to make some turns, see what changed, and trivial stuff like this. In a blink of an eye, it was 6pm, and I was trampling wild fauna under my rolling engines of war (Juggernauts, forever and ever) making red pulp of my enemies with my mortars, laughing to the cacophony of grinding gears. The game plays fairly quick, with strong "one more turn" factor and random map events only make this more enjoyable. Now for a thing that may bother some people, but for me it's in plus - there are no huge wizard towers, and player is kind of hero, the same that will ask you for your gold in exchange for their servitude. Plus they have made completely "techy" class, which is instalike for me. Long story short: for me, this game is absolute top. Buy it, play it, wonder why the hour is this late. And then rinse and repeat.
Review based off PC DVD copy. When I saw this title, it's promotional screens and supposed storycast, I couldn't help but get it. Based on famous "With Fire and Sword" trilogy, it said. With firearms and stuff, and still Mount&Blade. After a long while, I know it's neither Fire, nor sword, nor M&B. Let's start with the universe. You have the map of Europe. Well, at least part of it. Five nations, with Poland and Lithuana Commonwealth, Swedish Empire, or Crimea khanate, for example. Now, I understand the limitations, but you distinguish cities by one or two buildings that other don't have. Take them, and they all look the same. That's how you can tell Moscow from Warsaw or Krakow, they don't have Great Orthodox Church in the middle. And Sarmats (polish nobles) are thin and slim, while we all know they were a synnonym for gluttony. Firearms. Aiming is almost impossible. Why to bother to get the three pointers to the centre, while still you will miss? Why even bother with adding the crosshair. Seriously. You can't hit anything with firearms, it's only meaning is to give it to a lot of troops and drown adversaries under the hail of lead. Unless they will be first to do that. The bullet of course will penetrate through everything, so there is no point in hiding behind a shield. Generally, later in-game there is no point in wearing an armor, since troops will rifles will kill you anyway. Not sure if due to bug, for support and devs are silent over this. Overall, I don't reccomend. If you really like XVII century, get warband, or classic M&B, and search for mods. They are free. And are far better.
