Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is one of the best action platformers I've ever played. Not only that, is also the worthy succesor of the original Prince of Persia. The gameplay (as long as you play with a controller) is really engaging, the story is simple but very effective (I just love saving the princess, you know), the music is wonderful (soundtrack avalible, yay!) and even the graphics stands quite good for today standard. So if you want to experience one of the greatest games of the past gen, don't hesitate, PoP: The sands of time is what you're looking for.

Ok, Alien Nations is not the greatest strategy game ever, that's for sure: Probably is not even at the top 50, but it's still a quite enjoyable RTS. Why? Simple, because Alien Nations features some easy (but not shallow) gameplay, good sense of humor, colorful graphics and three different cool races with their own units and buildings. The bad news is the game is a bit slow, but if you want some fast RTS action just play starcraft. Alien Nations is something different.

Blake Stone: Planet Strike is not a bad shooter at all. It improves some of the lacks from the previous game and add new features (such as the new weapons). But games like Wolfenstein 3D (1992), Doom (1993) or Heretic (1994) - Planet Strike was released in 1994 as well - make it looks dated and worse than it really is. Don't misunderstand me though, I'm not saying BS: Planet Strike is a bad game, is still really enjoyable, but there are many other old shooters better than this on GOG.
Ok, Jack Orlando is a good old-school adventure game. The setting, plot and characters are just like in the old "noir films", so if you like this kind of movies - as I do - you will probably love the game. However, the game fails in may other aspects: the main character is not very likeable, the voice acting is terrible, some puzzles are irrational, you can die (that's something I don't like in adventure games) and you can pick up too many useless objects you don't have to use (and believe me, is hard to tell which one is useless and which one is not). So, in a nutshell the game is good, but doesn't play in the same league as Lucas or Revolution.

Put THE Duke Nukem in a bowl. Add nine different weapons (golden eagle, shotguns or pipe bombs are OK), a few double damanges power ups, a nice jet pack and lot of hot babes waiting to be rescued. Stir for five minutes. Then fill the bowl with hundreds of enemies, twenty seven 2D platforms levels, lot of bosses, hilarious Duke Nukem's quotes, tons of secrets and even more babes. Stir for another five minutes and voila. You have one of the most charismatic 2D action platformers ever. Enjoy your multiple hours of gameplay.
