The Walking Dead: The Final Season

For all who came this far

I really enjoyed this last season, and the reason why I don't give a solid 5 stars is that because the Walking Dead universe is full of inconsistencies. And also, while this story was really good, well thought and executed, with great characters and plot, this is not close to the variety of what the original season had give us. Clementine is a far better character than any other character in the TV series. And her journey deserved a fitting end. This is what you get here. Yes, there are some graphic glitches. Yes, the Telltale interface sucks. Yes, the zombies are really annonying and you'll die quite a lot. But I loved this game. For the atmosphere, for the relationship between the characters, for the logic of the impacts of your choice on the story. This is getting somewhere, finally. This is a story about a legacy, about home, about love, and about freedom. A terrible tale, but a beautiful one as well. Farewell Clementine, although I didn't reach the ending I wanted for you, I'll let you rest now. You deserved it. Lee, AJ and you were 3 great heroes in the deep sea of sorrow that is the Walking Dead. To me, this universe has missed its opportunity to evolve, and with the end of the tale of Clementine, this is time for me to get out of this universe that will never go anywhere. Thanks Telltale for this amazing work. Sorry it was so chaotic for you to produce it. I'm glad you managed to do it right.

Umineko When They Cry - Question Arcs

THE visual novel

I've read a lot of VN, but not every ones are as perfect as Umineko. Good story, good characters, good music. Even though it's 150 hours of reading, you'll wish it never ends. There will always be a part in my heart for all those crazy theories I made. A game as gold as its witch.

Higurashi When They Cry Hou - Ch.2 Watanagashi

Great mystery

If you read the free chapter 1 and you wonder what could come next, I assure you'll like this. This is a different story, longer and deeper into some characters and let's say it have a fair share of surprises, twists, and psychological impact. This "game" has no gameplay. But to solve the mystery, you will have to patch the clues together and make your own theory. Like reading a good mystery book. It's fun! PS: use the fan patch for better graphics, interface, and voice acting.

Interrogation: You Will Be Deceived

Brillant

I do love this game. Immersive, well-documented, and non-manichean about today's world at the edge. The destruction is close and you, as a leader of a police force, is the last to hold position. But is it a good thing? Is there even something that could be labelled as "good"? Aren't just doing your work and you best? Interrogation will resonate with your political opinion, whatever it may be. On top of it, it will also provide a really good psychological game, with a bit of team and PR management. Sounds cool? It is!

Enigmatis: The Ghosts of Maple Creek

Great game

Please not I have played the phone version, not the PC one. I have never played hidden objects games before, and nor will I except from the Enigmatis trilogy. I really loved the places, the characters, the atmosphere and the story behind. Hidden objects minigame where challenging enough and never too hard or too easy.

Kathy Rain

Love the atmosphere and the characters

Kathy Rain may not be the best adventure game I have ever played. Still, it is more than decent. I really like the character design of the main character, never falling in the laziness. I also like the story, with its fog of mystery and enigmatic situations. I believe we need more games like Kathy Rain: we can feel the deep passion of writing a story that have grown inside you, and you want to share with the world even if it is not calibrated to be top selling. I hope there will be a sequel :)

Oxenfree

Great experience

I played Oxenfree without any expectations, just to explore. I was not disappointed. The story is well thought, and is brought at a really good pace. I liked the graphics, the characters, the idea behind the story, and the radio mechanic. I would love a sequel (or prequel) because this is really good. Not gemstone like Life is Strange, but definitly a great short experience.

Memoria

So good you wish for another sequel

I expected a great ending to this complicated story. And I wasn't disappointed. It's become rare over the time, so it does worth mentioning it.

Grim Fandango Remastered

A good classic greatly remastered

I haven't played to GF before the remastering, and I'd like to say this is a great game. The remasterization make it almost close to today's standard and I haven't had the sensation of playing an old game. Haven't seen any bugs. I like the weird story, even if I was expecting more. This is surely something you should play if you're interested in adventure games.

The Cat Lady

A bewitching game

Well, if you haven't played to the Cat Lady yet, you still have one of your best experience in life to live. This is not just a game. This is a lesson everyone should learn when you are in your bad days. Whatever happens, your life will be better than the Cat Lady's. And she succeed to pull out of depression. So can everybody. This game gave me strenght. And it is also a true jewel of adventure game. I wish there could be a sequel. I don't want Susan to stop living.
