Warhammer 40,000: Gladius - Firepower Pack

Impressive Firepower, no Nid love?

See title, get this on sale if you are pro tyranid, as it has no nid goodies. Otherwise get it now as it just adds even more attractive set pieces to a wonderful turn based strategy game. I like this game as I am not a fast twitch real time strat player.

Terra Nil

Terra Nil

A relaxing puzzle game which does not enrage me. Terraforming done right. Simple yet vibriant visuals make the game so easy on the eyes. You have main 3 difficulty settings (a 4th called Zen) which I imagine removes all obsticles. I went with easiest. You start with a wasteland area, and when you leave it's Yellow Stone National Park (with no trace of humanity to be seen). When you unlock something it gives you a great sound/visual. Game WANTS you to win, game is something you should try. Kind regards to all who share my world views,

Star Trek™: Bridge Commander

Star Trek Bridge Commander

Nostalgia but also a fun game. The custom mission maker is great for setting up quick battles. Check "nexus mods" for mods for this great game. Under $10.00 is todays GOG price and it is worth it.

King of Seas

Level locked ship purchases is BAD.

Even if you have the money, the story will NOT let you purchase them. Not a fan of forced story telling. The ships and weapons are fine "windward 2.0 fine". You cannot move items from one ship to another (this forces grind). The art choice for the narratve is (for me) jarring and not in a good way. Wait for patches which address most of these concerns or get it 50% off.

Wasteland 3

Finally a Wasteland game I can get into.

Minimal hand holding and great music, you can make the game as hard or as easy as you want. Make your own group or add some pre-mades. The game has humor but does not skimp on the horrors of the wasteland or the savagery of man/woman. I had to force myself off at 3:30AM. One piece of advice.........only one type of ammo need per person..IE: on uses 9mm, on uses 50cal, one uses electric, etc.. ammo is expensive and somewhat rare. Same thing with skills excepting first aid and stealth. I am having fun with it.

Warhammer 40,000: Gladius - Relics of War

Warhammer 40000 Gladius Micro Review

Have you ever built up a massive army and hear/read a warning "You have too many troops you will go bankrupt in 3 turns, continue?" I have and I hated it with a passion. This game let me build a huge army of Tyranids (expac dlc), and slowly march across the map like giant vengeful locust. The game is turn based, no PC CPU spamming capturing places as I stop to breath....... This game even though turn based has very satisfying moving pieces both as they sit and wait and even better when they attack..in my opinion. I mistakenly thought the tech tree was only 4 tiers until I notice the arrows and saw it went to TEN. This version has no MULTIPLAYER.......which for me, is a "so what?" moment...I play games like this for the SINGLE-PLAYER experience. Also, and this is huge, as you set up a random skirmish, not ONLY can you buff or nerf your opponents, you can buff or nerf yourself. ( I choose to buff myself ). This is bar none, the most fun in a turn based game I have yet played, with the exception of Jagged Alliance 2.

Iratus: Lord of the Dead

A Darker Darkest type Game

This game (even as of 3-18-2020 and early access) just absorbed 2 hours without my noticing. I have experienced no bugs as of yet, and the games graphics and animations (again my op) are superior to darkest dungeons, (which I have, but stopped playing). This has many levels and places to put your points, and so you can have different builds, I am playing on "Cakewalk" as it is my first runthru. (but as I like to win) I may not try harder settings. :) I find this a very good game to play if you like roguelike games.
