Pinballvania in a tropical paradise

You are a dung beetle postman tethered to pinball. Make your deliveries across the island, and save the island's spirit from evil. Gameplay- fun, unique way to explore a traditional interconnected map. defeating bosses (while playing pinball) as well as finding items grants extra abilities that let yopu reach new areas and find collectibles. Presentation- amazing sountrack, colourful visuals, great atmosphere. Playability- no bugs, everything ran pretty smoothly. A few last collectibles were a bit of a pain, even with map markers, but overall, amazing expereince.

Like Nothing Before (and adorable)

This game is like no other game ever created. It manages to meld metroidvania, adorable adventure, and pinball into a somehow completely cohesive experience. I'm several hours into the game and haven't encountered a single bug or issue -- everything is perfect, down to the last detail. The mechanics and controls are completely solid, the gameplay is refreshing, the maps are sprawling with tons of things to do, and the story, characters, and world are adorable and cheerful. When I sit down to game, I often ask myself, "do I want to play something that will make me happy and cheer me up, or do I want a challenge?" You don't need to ask yourself that question if you own this game, as it ticks both boxes. If you have any doubt, go on Steam and download the demo. The demo convinced me so well that I rewarded the developers by paying full price for the game (but I bought it on here, obviously, because I will always choose GOG over Steam when possible), rather than waiting for it to go on sale as I normally would. The developers and this game deserve far more recognition than they've received, especially considering that they've made a type of game that has never been seen before.

A charming hybrid

Who would have thought mixing platforming with pinball would turn out so well? Yoku's Island Express is quite a fun little game and joyfully upbeat throughout with whimsical characters, an oddball plot, superb art, and great music to pinball-jam to. The only real downside is that some of the ball physics tend to be not totally accurate, making some shots maybe a bit more difficult than they ought to be. In the grand scheme, it's still only a relatively minor issue though.

A small gem

I bought this game only because the screenshots looked really nice and fun. No regret ! I enjoyed it a lot, it's playfull, nice, you can play it with your child on your knees. And, last but not least, it bug free. Nothing will annoy you in this game. Full pleasure. Buy and enjoy !
