Big disappointment
Too many bad ideas and seriously naff optimisation make this an ordeal not worth enduring. Thank you for the refund GOG!

'Wreckedfest', Until Some Tweaking
Sorry I bought this god-awful piece of crap... It may get a medal for being the worst purchase I ever made here; and not GOG'S fault, but that they ARE Offering it here. It is a buggy, unfinished, LARGE piece of trash, NOT a fun arcade racer at all; and if one wants a more realistic driving physics sim, even Shift or Grid work as intended; Wreckfest frankly is just a WRECK: The others mentioned, being NOT arcade racers, at least have only a couple of necessary adjustments to control your car. Under the 'Advanced' menu of Wreckfest and putting ALL of the too-many settings in just the right place, you MAY be able to ALMOST drive with a gamepad. I don't know about a wheel controller, but this must be WORSE I suspect. As others have warned, ENJOY FLATOUT; THIS game is NO sucessor or replacement! How many stars for a WRECK? Hope we ALL have a HAPPIER New Year than THIS load of manure! Lol. Updated October 2025: It IS tricky, complicated more than it should be to adjust all of the controls; but I later found 64% saturation for everything solved the problem, can now PLAY this game. I now give 3 stars, another half if I could, for only some frame-rate and bloat issues, requiring driving full screen with no 'hood' view, and tweaking everything down a bit in display settings: then I CAN compete! :-)
