This game does work on Windows 10.
All the most recent reviews of the game - those which claim it does not work on Windows - are incorrect. The game can be run on Windows (notably windows 10 - which is to assume that's what is being used by most in 2020), but you have to get certain files for it to work which can be located in this forum thread here on GOG's website: https://www.gog.com/forum/worms_series/any_way_to_run_worms_2_on_windows_10/post6 So, like a vast majority of people - after trying a game - and it doesn't install correctly, they get frustrated and don't look for any solutions, get impatient and review bomb games. This is - understandably - maybe due to time constraints on people mixed with over-hyped emotions about discovering a piece of nostalgia which lead to immediate disappointment. However, I can confirm that this thread that is linked has the solution. It is simple. You install the game and download the zip folders from the thread. This thread is actually found somewhere (I don't remember which page it was, sometimes serendipity reigns supreme when you're adamant) in this review section, so someone already has been able to try it out & get it to work, and luckily a group of people really went deep into figuring out how to get it to work on modern Windows OS'. The link above should immediately take you to the exact post where the person has found the solution to the issues related to the game. Another note about this Worms 2 is that this is also the version of the game that was updated from the version 1.00. Which version I am not sure, but is not the original disc from the release date (Ver. 1.00) and a version above 1.00 (could be v.101 and up) which means that the cheat codes are different codes.
