Catacomb 3-D, but it's 2023...
Just finished the demo (including the secret Hunting Grounds bonus level) and... what to say other than: "Does what it says on the tin", and that it's VERY good at it. Looking forward to the full release.

Very fun and very cute looking!
I also finished the demo just 10 minutes ago. The first thing I thought when playing this game was: This looks and feels like a modern Catacomb Abyss which I loved so much back then. You run around collecting treasure and killing monsters and it's very satisfying. Another awesome thing is the save feature: You can save your progress pretty much anytime (it works like a save state) in the game, that's another big plus! The only thing I'm missing in Wizordum is the keybindings, because there don't seem to be any. For me as a left-handed player this makes life a bit harder. It is still playable but I wish that this game will feature rebindable keys in the full version.

This game has Meridian 59 flashbacks dancing before my eyes. Not in the quality or effort put into it, but the general feel, the standing 2d objects, the mace... I see a lot of good things going on here, but honestly they need to pump in vast amounts of lore into this thing. If it is just gonna be a casual little FPS then what's the point. This could be a great ARPG or just casual fluff... we shall see.... guessing I know which way they shall go..

Demo Impressions
I played the demo on "Journeyman" difficulty and I would say that you can keep yourself alive provided that you don't get overconfident and keep your wits about you. I have died and most encounters will probably result in you losing health if you let enemies get close to you. The remainder of this review will cover things that I found to be of note. Should you like to go in blind and have the demo surprise you/learn what the enemies and levels have got in store for you then stop reading now. -Great music -Satisfying sound effects -Destructible objects -Friendly fire: Enemy spellcasters can destroy descructible objects and kill other enemies with their projectiles. This adds a layer to combat. -Flanking: Expect to be flanked or ambushed. -Fire burns you. That is to say, it deals damage over time. It doesn't last long but it does make you feel like you are on fire. Little details/Neatpicks -Killing goblins gets blood on your mace.
