Wing Commander™ 3 Heart of the Tiger™

This game finished the KIlrathi war. First interactive movie with real actors. Well acted and great game design. This is also one of the early games with romance options. This game is amazing for its time.

I played the piss outta this when I was kid. Trying to get the multipule endines, and seeing all it had. The FMV (as all other FMV titles) aged horribly. Yet seeing Malcom McDowel and Mark Hamel acting is worth the play in its own. This one you get to customize your load outs (even if Rachel gets pissed at you) and you have love interest. Like all other WC titles, it doesn't end if you fail a mission. You just go onto the next one. This is a great one, even if its a bit ... eh on the sound effects. I found myself getting more into WC 1 2 and Privateer fights then this one... but the story is good. EXPECIALLY if you played 1 and 2. This is a must! Anyway, its got it's nicks and dings, and aged about as well as that hot girl that went through 20 years of mixed substance abuse....but the real gem is the story imo and the character backrounds.

Ok so this game is a cult classic in my opinion, much like Wing Commander IV But it was extremely buggy for me, as I had a really hard time making any of the controls work. I was eventually able to make the keyboard work and thus play the game, I came close to refunding. My other serious problem is that all ships except the Arrow anf thankgully the Excalibur(in most missions) had extremely choppy movement or simply refused to obey commands, leading to a very poor gameplay experience, at time and some frustration, I might add. So technical issues 1 star, but everything else 5 stars :P

jOYSTICK CALIBRATION DOESNT WORK\

Despite calibrating the joystick, when entering flight mode my craft spins arround at high speed. This will kill your wingman in the hangar before the beginning of any mission. I managed to play the game with a mouse - somehow compensation for the spin - and without a wingman for a few mission. But soon you need the wingman and the missions will fail. Sadly, I played this game once a year till I upgraded to MacOS X and loved it.
