Good Game with a fatal bug

This is a very nice game. People, skills, inventory - everything is just as it should be. But - after a few hours of extensive gameplay, I ran into a bug, that does not let you save the game anymore after accepting a character into your group. I tried it several times in various ways and every time the game stopped responding while saving. I tried to move on and save later, but that also did not work due to autosaving. Returning to an older savegame was possible, but I could not get past the point in question. Online results show, it is an old bug that has never been fixed. I don't want start the game again and make sure my decisions don't screw with the games' save system. I will possibly watch this, but that kind of bugs don't make me want to try out the next title of the series.

Nice one

Probably the best game that inXile released in two decades. The 3D graphics are not the best, but the turn-based combat is well done and the crazy stuff you encounter is fun, eg. mini-gun wielding nuns.

Not really

The whole game just feels like a cheap, underworked Fallout 2 clone minus storytelling. It's buggy, it doesn't give you anything to keep you interested for more than first two missions. Overally - I wouldn't recommend it unless bought on a very deep discount. I could give a small plus for the linux version but it's way to huge and clunky for such game. And has its own issues.

Good Game, but something is missing...

I played this game in 2021 and the game is more than ok, it hold up, it's fun and engaging. If you love old school rpg, you will like also Wasteland 2. But there are some issues that prevent me to give 5 star. The Good: Setting (post-apocalyptic done the right way) Atmosphere (gritty with humor) Dialog (very well written) RPG ruleset is solid Many ways to resolve your missions, with a lot of "hidden" solution Combat is engaging (reminded me about xcom) A lot of well done references to real world The Bad: No big interactions with companions (it's my biggest complaint, I love chatting with my party in an RPG) scum-saving is too easy Steep introduction (it's hard to understand what kind of team have at the beginning of the game) inventory management (for someone could be a game in the game, but for me it's annoying)

Didn't manage to draw me in

I couldn't immerse myself into the World of this game. I've played some CRPGs and I love the feeling of being an adventurer. When I'm really drawn into a game I love exploring as much as possible and enjoy getting to know the world. With Wasteland, I didn't get that at all. I mechanically played a CRPG, but I didn't get the things I enjoy out of this genre. The conversations were dull, the art design forgettable and I really don't remember much of what happened in my 10 hours of playing. I couldn't bring myself to playing this game after work with my limited time and I just stopped. It isn't a bad game. If you play the genre more for the gameplay mechanics or are more into the setting and writing, I guess you could've a really fun time with it. For me personally it was very disappointing. I didn't encounter any bugs and the game ran well.
