Fantastic addition to the 40K universe!
I love this game and look forward to the 2nd DLC. Great entry in the franchise, and one that doesn't focus on Space Marines at last! Great story and characters, perhaps a bit too easy once you understand the mechanics but difficulty increases are available if desired.

Fantastic game.
I have this on steam and mean to also buy on GoG. This game has dragged me kicking and screaming into the world of Warhammer. The setting, the characters, the fantastic immersive story are some of the best I have come across. All the release bugs and problems have ben fixed so no worry's there. The amount of lore I have learned through this game is tremendous, another great thing it does. and it does it in a way that makes it interesting and were you want to know more. The combat is great and opens up a vast array of tactics for you to use on the battlefield. There is so much that this game does right it would take a book to go over. Buy it even if your not a Warhammer fan, you soon will be.

Хорошая RPG в W40K вселенной
Я большой поклонник компьютерных игр во вселенной W40K и не мог пройти мимо этой игры. Был наслышан о высокой забагованности на релизе, потому покупал её спустя несколько месяцев (и пары больших патчей) после релиза. Понравилось: - Всё, связанное с лором - на месте почти все основные фракции - Механикус, Инквизиция, Астартес, друккари и эльдары, хаоситы, некроны. Не все представлены равномерно, конечно, но у представленных есть полноценные сюжетные линии. - Туда же идут визуальная эстетика и мелкие игровые события (разрешить жителям колонии платить долги сдачей органов? принудительная сервиторизация? Почему бы и нет) - Многообразие игрового процесса - тактические бои, бои в космосе, освоение планет и управление колониями (правда, оно урезанное), отношения с фракциями. - Возможность прокачать персонажей по своему желанию (можно сделать супер-танка, а можно хилятика, способного раздавать запасные ходы основным дамагерам) Не понравилось: - Прокачку я одновременно запишу и в минусы, на уровне Нормальный мой относительно поверхностный подход к прокачке привёл к тому, что очередной бой с условным боссом я переигрывал раз пять. Пришлось пересмотреть билды пары персонажей после этого. - У ряда персонажей бои очень нединамичные из-за ограничения на количество атак. В итоге ход у них выглядит вроде "Кинул баф, потом ещё один, потом ещё, потом ещё, потом дебаф на врага, потом ещё, потом ещё, Ну и теперь можно выстрелить". Учитывая, что до последнего патча нельзя было отключать анимации, все бафы и дебафы сопровождались ещё и анимацией с постоянным перескакиванием камеры с себя на врага и обратно. - Некоторые искусственные ограничения - например, экстракторов в игре кот наплакал (у меня было штук 20 максимум), а без них нельзя осваивать ресурсы. По багам: в целом всё хорошо. У меня были сложности с идентификацией появлявшихся в процессе боя врагов (показывались как нейтральные до первого нанесения урона) и накопительные трофеи выпадали при первом же действии.

The best W40K game?
Galaxy says I've spent 115 hours before completing Rogue Trader (with the DLC), but it feels more. I haven't played an RPG with so much content in years. And it's very good content too! In short - the game is worth it. Details below: Story and setting: Excellent. It's W40K through and through. The writing, the lore, everything indicates that the game has been made by true fans. All of the characters fit very well and have interesting backstories and personal quests. There is A LOT to read and even though I don't mind reading at all, I found myself skipping a few lines every now and then. Seriously, there are probably hundreds of thousands, if not milions lines of text in there. Gameplay: Very Good. The mechanics could be somewhat overwhelming due to the huge amount of choices you have for a character advancement - so many, in fact, that you'll probably forget what you're trying to achieve. Multiply that by 10 or so (the party members). Add tons of items with similarly varied stats and effects. You have a lot to work with and have plenty of freedom to build each character (the downside of which is that you can have two distinctively different characters who perform very similar roles during combat). The battles could be interesting, but the difficulty on Normal is very low after the first few battles - raise it as soon as Chapter 2 if you want some sort of a challenge. Visuals and sound: Very Good. The graphics are nice enough for 2024, the animations could be something from 10 years ago or pretty contemporary. The sounds are great - bolters especially. Voice acting is nigh perfect. Be ready to move the camera a lot to navigate through the surroundings. Omnissiah's stuff: Good. I haven't encountered major bugs, plenty of minor ones though. Graphic glitches every now and then. The AI does pretty dumb things and should not be expected to challenge you on its own. Overall, something like 4,5/5, but it deserves a full 5 due to the faithfulness to the universe.

Game is very good, story is interesting, no bugs in my playthrough, mechanics too complex. There are many worlds you can visit (or read about) and encounter various phenomena. Companion stories are ok, some more or less interesting, but overall its good. Choices I think matter, and towards the end, when you meet yourself, you get a glimpse of what world would look like if you did other decisions :) There is a lot of depth, but also a lot of reading, only beginning has voice acting. I didnt encounter any bugs, that I know of, game didnt crash, there was no story blockers or major issues that for example made me skip content or make decision I didnt wanted. I think game mechanics are the most buggy, but I'm not sure anyone fully understands it :D Difficulty, its hard for me to judge, maybe a little bit to easy. On daring I was eliminating half of the enemy team, before they could do anything. Maybe its intended and gives player feeling of great power, or maybe I know what to expect from Owlcat. I think I was wiped only once. There is a lot of content. 100% recommend if you played previous Owlcat games and liked them, or you like warhammer, or RPGs, or sci-fi. I'm becoming a fan of Owlcat games.
