Really Well Told Story

This is a really well told 'Gothic' tale. The story is good, the soundtrack is phenomenal, the atmosphere is top-notch, the combat is really fun I disagree that the combat "is not spectacular, because it feels like total opposite of most vampire power fantasies". That is precisely the point because you are a NEW-BORN. You are a just-born vampire that is just beginning to live as one. Besides, you can get much more powerful later as you progress. And the story stays with you... However, I have to say there is a minor fly in the ointment. There is a bit too much woke content (but fortunately it is not overwhelming). You just HAVE to have a token interracial relationship (actually two AND suggest that YOU have a problem with it), a token gay relationship (AND suggest they are SO oppressed), and some feminists (that just HAVE TO whine about how the patriarchy denies them opportunities). All this is really unnecessary as it breaks you out of immersion. Anyway, I recommend this game. If a good, deep story and fleshed-out characters is what you want - go for it!

What a mess

It's a interesting game with a acceptable story and OK characters. But it's clearly not build for PC users in mind. It's a ported console game and it shows. The most infuriating issue I have with the game is during combat. When you lock a target, if you move your mouse a little bit to the left of the right, the target will change. Even changing the key bindings will not fix this. If you want to play this you have to use a pad, don't ever think about using keyboard and mouse.

Steep learning curve, moody atmosphere

The setting is quite creative, the options to build a character are quite diverse. Gameplay is at times really hard, also due to sometimes cramped environments in combination with a wonky camera. But the mood is evocative and entices you to investigate both neighbourhoods and its inhabitants.
