Pretty Good for newbies in this genre..

As someone who never played Darkest Dungeon but 2 of the other games it is inspired by i enjoyed my time pretty much. COMBAT is a little bit monotone after a while after you settle with one combination of followers but that's what i could honestly say about most games to be honest. I enjoyed the STORY and liked the main character for beeing a relatable humble person and not a 'super human, the chosen one'. Have more than one ending is a nice feature i appreciate. The SAVE SYSTEM was alright and i guess makes sense for this kind of game since it makes you think about getting prepared well enaugh to be able to make it. I understand though that it takes a moment to prepare a strategy for this mild inconvinience. I played the game in GERMAN version 1.09 on another plattform on NORMAL DIFFICULTY. There were a few translation issues here and there but i haven't encountered any bugs. Game was UPDATED afterwards which i applaude Devespresso games since they were working on other projects in the meantime. The fact they seem to have updated the GOG version shortly after the Steam version makes me like this Dev even more. All in all a solid game, story and mechanic wise with a suitable soundtrack. Will buy this and the soundtrack on GOG again if i see a good (bundle) discount on both so that i can have it on here aswell - and give a little more support to the Devs and GOG.

Awesome setting and enjoyable characters

More simple Darkest Dungeon I finished and enjoyed more. The art direction was stunning, the environments and map of the city, designs of the characters and animations. Can't believe it is work of pretty must one person. Interesting remix of more western fantasy races and Korean fox folk. The sound and the music are really nice, engrossing you in a setting. Getting outfits alongside doing side-quests was nice.. and a bit addicting for me, (like in newer Tomb Raiders) and could affect characters and narrative. I liked the combat, and that bosses were challenging for me on normal, and you had to thread more carefully your actions, and you will not loose your comrades. Would love to have manual saves.. or more ways of saving especially during the dungeon parts. I would like your party to be more customizable and different within classes, but I understand that if you loose one, you can pick up any other form the same class and it only be different by one skill max, so no that big of a deal, . Also because of my companions not dying on normal, I had soo much resources and money in the end, no need to spend it on anything.

Good art. Bad experience.

To experience the game as intended, you'll need to play through it at least three times (give or take). Along the way, you'll encounter long, unskippable cutscenes at both the beginning and the end, as well as full end credits. There is no New Game+, so all of your items and characters will be lost upon completion. If you want to revisit specific parts of the game or check out your newly unlocked costumes, you'll need to delete your save file and start a new game—cutscenes included. Lastly, achievements don’t always trigger as expected. Some will unlock only after restarting the game, others after restarting GOG Galaxy, and some may not unlock at all—especially if you've deleted a save or used different save slots. Edit: The game is up to date on GOG, but the newer version causes issues with achievements. If you want them to pop up, you'll need to play an older version.

Pretty Fun!

I really liked the game, the lore is well crafted, the art is beautiful and the soundtrack is on point! The combat can get a little repetitive (once you find the right team for you), but personally I didn't mind, the game isn't long enough for the repetitive factor to become super annoying, and I didn't have to grind much in order to farm the materials for the relics I wanted. Playing this game in 2021, I didn't find any bugs or errors, or at least not anything worth reporting, any problems that the game might've had were probably patched. Overall, I enjoyed my time playing Vambrace: Cold Soul, if you enjoy games like Darkest Dungeon and have a bit of money to spare, why not give it a try?

A game with a good potential

Vambrace Cold Souls are a Darkest Dungeon like with some pro, its more easier and can be in some case more forgiving however there many flaw making the game with some issue. The menue are kind of mess, you can't change unit. For exemple you want make a team oriented loot and merchand but later change your time you need to remove them. I think they could add some caserne to recruit and manage group. There no NG+ there some difficulty spike at the chapter 6. The art and the sound are very beautiful, the story are good we can feel the game want to be into a series of game. The game need some patch to fix some event doesn't trigger and there some balance issue. Overall if the dev give a better Quality Of Life, fix all the glitch and bug and improve the game by adding a new game + the choice to recruit more unit we can manage and change wthout fire someone and a better balance i would say the game could be amazing. I give a big cheer and prop to the dev and hope they will fix the game issue as soon as possible.
