Tyrian 2000

I've been looking for this game for a long time. I'm a new member to gog, and I just happened to stumble upon this. I can hardly believe I'm going to get to play one of my favorite games as a kid again!

this is a great nostalgia shooter shmup. i played it so much when i was younger, i still remember the floppy disk i bought for the full version. it plays perfectly on mac os maverick latest version, im really glad to go for it again after all these years. it even has the jukebox and ship creator !

Strange that GOG choose the 2000 version, and not the original. I guess it's because of the bonus episode and the extra ships. Still, it's quite fun this version, especially with the holiday style when it's holiday. The music was also quite amazing, quite fittable for each level. One of Epic Megagames' best title I ever seen!

Wait a second there! Fellow reader, be sure to play Tyrian 2000, for it is one of the best space-ship shooters out there (if not THE BEST). And now, thanks to GOG.com, you can use OpenGL and other awesome filters like hq3x to make this beautiful beast even better. The story of this game is quite interesting and gripping and the graphics are smooth and detailed, so one should at least try this one out. I myself was not much of a fan of mindless space-ship shooters, but this one just gets me everytime due to it's perfect level of challenge and charming gameplay. So, all in all, just try this. It's FREE for god's sakes!
