A true gem
I can't believe this was released in 2011! It's still so relevant and interesting. I love the atmosphere, the lore, the music... It's really an in-universe I'd like to be part of. The platforming is also pretty neat but I confess that what I most like is the aesthetics and the lore.

Rage Inducing
I don't often review games on GOG, but Treasure Adventure Game warrants a PSA. This is my genre, I love these sorts of light-combat heavy-exploration platformers. I want to like this game, I really do. Unfortunately, that simply isn't possible. This game delights in cheap shots. From pairing inconsitent input lag with tight jumps to using buggy bosses to all but softlock the player, Treasure Adventure Game delights in making the player restart. After my umpteenth "failure" (and at only ~15% progress), I had to call it quits. The developer has taken a great core experience, and done everything in their power to ruin it. If you want a retro platformer that handles well, check out Crystal Caves.
