Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Starring Lara Croft

I anxiously awaited this game. Thankfully, I waited for it to go on sale. I bought Tomb Raider for the Sega Saturn all so many years ago, and I'll tell you, THIS IS IT. If you have played ANY tomb raider games post-EIDOS, you have become accustomed to the awesome, smooth controls of the next-gen Lara. This game brings you right back to hell. -No matter which "mode" you choose, the controls are clunky and unresponsive AT BEST. If you have nostalgia for the original Tomb Raider, trust me you will lose it in sheer frustration after 5 minutes into this one. -The game menu defaults to LOAD instead of SAVE. That will cause damage to your sheet rock when you slam a controller through it after reloading a shit stage instead of saving progress. -Whoever thought it was a good idea to use "start" to switch the graphics back to crap mode needs to rethink his future as a game developer. -I'm giving it 2 stars, because this WAS the game I asked for. In all of it's insane frustrating glory. But everyone reading this, PLEASE, just like AVGN said, DON'T be BLINDED BY NOSTALGIA. There is no need to suffer like we did when there was NO OPTION. Now, there are MANY Tomb Raider options that are FAR superior. And PLEASE DON"T WASTE YOUR MONEY on the UPCOMING 4, 5, and 6. Heck, TR6 wasn't even finished. Very disappointed, but it was, after all, my own fault. Damn Nostalgia.

Money well spent. I boot this up on a slow weekend afternoon to chip away at the game at my own pace.

I refunded it...Yes, the modern controls kinda suck bc you can perform half the actions you can with the classic controls which are fine to use...What really kills it is no qol features like a save and load confirmation screen...Like cmon, it can´t be that hard to implement, "modern" gamer or not...I´m sure it would save atleast some people from headache...Also the cutscenes sometimes stutter in video and desync in sound and other times its completely fine...Also is it just me or are the cutscenes worse? Maybe i´m remembering them wrong but i thought you could atleast make out actual facial features of the woman in the beginning of TR 1 instead of pixel mush but thats propably just me lol.
