Tomb Raider GOTY

This game really surprised me. I didnt like the old school Tomb Raider games at all, but I couldnt stop playing this one once I started. I ended up completing it 100%. It holds up very well for its age.. I highly recommend checking it out if youve never played it.

A classic game with modern graphics. Really fun to go back a decade and play a game before developers became entitled.

Proto last of us, take that as you will. The gameplay is simple and funny. Cutscenes are overly dramatical and they are really funny. Skipping them makes you go where the hell I am now haha. I'm gonna go get more salvage

I don't understand all the love for this. I don't know why you play games but I play them to have fun. I certainly do not play them to make myself so frustrated and angry that I can hardly see straight, which was my experience 95% of the time playing this garbage. Dying 1,067 times in the first hour is not fun. Desperately spamming the A and D keys on a keyboard when prompted is not fun. Running around puzzle solving and running around killing dudes IS fun, but this game only lets me do that 5% of the time. Mostly I'm stuck in yet another stupid QTE until I can die enough times to memorize the pattern that lets me live, then move forward 10 seconds and start the next QTE die and reload loop. It breaks all immersion and atmosphere and interest when you have to get machine gunned off the same exploding rooftop or impaled by a tree branch 35 times before you can continue playing. And what's up with that torture porn death animation? 67% complete and not going to bother finishing this.
