Tintin comics coming to life

I will start by saying that the game runs smoothly on PC. I haven't encountered any bugs so far. The controls are not perfect (sometimes the character's movement is weird when I move the mouse). The developers announced that the game may not be too polished on release date (thanks to gamers who put pressure for games to be released as fast as possible, be patient once in a while, people ! ) but they will bring patches as fast as possible and bring the game to how it's supposed to be. I am having a lot of fun, the visuals are great. The story is fascinating. The game is playable, immersive and so far it seems to be very close to the original comic. I am looking forward to go enjoy the whole adventure. I know it may not be the best review but at least I hope it helps all of you decide whether or not to get the game after the developer's announcement about the game status. Personally, I think the game is great so far and I am enjoying it. I am a Tintin fan and until now I am not disappointed.

Unfinished game with bad gameplay

TD:DR Don't buy. The game has many bugs and some gameplay elements that are badly worked out. Encountered bugs: 1: I will start with the biggest bug that i encountered. During chapter 5 i got an fatal error bug. Tried to change video settings, restarted the game but every time on the same position i got an fatal error and the game crashed. I got this fixed by restarting the previous section, play that fully and then when i got to the section with the fatal error i finally got through. 2: There are quick-time events where you have to press a button while moving forward yourself. Sometimes when you fail and have to do this again you can get a bug that the quick-time promp is not shown and also can't do this action. I got this fixed by restarting the game and play again from the last save point. 3: In 1 of the last quick-time follow events i could take an different route then the dev's wanted you to go and got soft lock. Bad quick time events gameplay: 1: The game play is mostly straight forward but some moments during quick time events it is not logic or doesn't work correct. Sometimes you have to press space for jumping over something and the next time you suddenly you have to press E, Same with squizing through a small area instead of Q you suddenly need to press E. 2: The camera during some chase quick-time events, for example you are running towards the camera instead of the camera following you. This makes it that an object suddenly appearce and you have to quickly press the right button. 3: Some quick-time event buttons only show when you are in the correct area which means that you are running towards an object and at the last second get to see which button you have to press and don't have time for it. So you have to redo it and now you know where you have to press which button. Another example is when you stand on a pillar and have 2 spots to jump to and you have to turn the camera all the way to finally select the other spot to jump to

Broken & Unplayable, Avoid!

It's almost 8 months ago since it released and I still can't play it properly since launch day. Shocker it still crashes to the desktop with dialogue box saying "fatal error" during the first chase scene since the game was originally released! If even if you get past that point Unreal Engine 4 Fatal error can occur at anywhere, anytime and all your progress lost sending you back to earlier checkpoint. No manual save option, die and you can't skip the cut scenes playing over and over again. This game is poorly optimized hence the steep system requirements. "Steam" version has been patched to version 1.0.7 on April 24, 2024 and "GOG" version from April 9, 2024. Why Microids? Even console versions are more up to date otherwise it would be pulled from sale and customers refunded as it ought to be here as Microids have made commitments for future patches just being abandoned in a broken unplayable state similar to "Flashback 2" released around the same time. No use trying to contact Microids technical support nothing but radio silence!

Don't buy

At the beginning TinTin is chasing the papyrus. When the sailor grabs Tintin there is a "fatal error". Tried all sorts, but always fails here. So disappointed.

Highly buggy with constant crashing.

This game never should have been released in this condition. I couldn't even make it past the intro level on the ship without the game crashing over and over again, even when lowering all the graphic settings. Gameplay also consists of lots of silly quick-time prompts, the controls are awful, and I experienced constant frame rate drops during cutscenes and prior to every quick-time event while playing in 4k resolution using an RTX3080. There is also no option for DLSS or resolution percentage. This game is seriously not optimized well at all and needs a ton of work. The developer clearly released this game WAY too soon. I refunded.
