Time Commando

So, you like punishingly hard games? Maybe with horrible tank controls? Where you control a guy who sometimes just can't land a hit? Where AI visibly cheats and avoids your punches and kicks with ease, while landing 2-3 hit combos on your face? Where you lose your life upgrades after death? And say, you like when savepoints are one or two per level, and sometimes hidden? Well then here's your new favourite game! Seriously, for the very first time I regret buying a game here.

Great action/adventure title that continues to be enjoyable to this day. I found that easy mode was the right difficulty to complete the game, so to ease your frustration ahead of time I would start here. The variety of weapons in each time are very cool and there are many hidden secrets for those collectors out there. There is a great mix of melee and ranged weapons to choose from. The entire game is on a timer, so remember to move quick. Enjoy!

I still have the disk to this game, but have been unable to play it for almost 2 decades. It was one of my absolute favorites. I'm glad i am finally able to play it again. Its gonna bring be back to the 90s. If me wanting to play and buying it again after all this time means anything, its how great this game was.

more than just a nostalgic game

Well - it's been a while since I played this one, but I remmber it as a nice game that I actually finished. Back then I played a lot but I did not finish all of the games. The game feels lke a sci-fi version of Golden Axe with 3D elements.You can influence the camera, but there are parts where it just does not show you what is important. Like an oldschool left to right 2D action game (Double Dragon, Super Probotector or the Golden Axe I already mentioned). It is not that difficult to play, but a nice chilling thing to do. If you played it back then - buy it. If not, you might be disappointed. I love the title song of the game and still got the mp3 I made from my original CD.
