Stylish, Deep and Well Priced.

Thronebreaker is a shinning example of what a spin off game should be. It is a true Witcher universe game, and manages to push the depth and life of the world pushing the reality of it to new places while never losing sight of the RPG style that makes the Witcher games what they are. It is a beautifully self contained game and doesn't rely on it's larger counterparts to carry it. The game is built around it's incredibly engaging story and plays more as interactive story telling fully utilizing gorgeous cutscenes tough decision making and one of the best protagonists any game has ever offered up. Beautiful and deep the game never feels like it's missed the mark with story. Be prepared to feel angry and wrathful, heartbroken and defeated and feel proud as Meve struggles to regain her lands. Thronebreaker also expertly blends Gwent in new and refreshing ways that make this version of Gwent unique and not just a repackaging. The game as a whole does not feel like CDPR simply gathered old assets and gave made a cash grab. The game is thoughtfully made and well worth it's price tag. In short. Thronerbreaker is a beautiful story driven game dripping with style and depth spanning 30 hours of game play or more that will engage players with tough decisions excellent character developement stellar Gwent and one of the best protagonists games have to offer.

Great game for the story

It a great game, especially for being a card game. I even like the graphical style. But there are a few irritating bugs that do diminish the experience. Sometimes you don't know if it's a bug or yourself not getting it. Most bugs are mismatches between the card description and the effect of the card. There are also some misspellings.

Great game for Witcher fans

I played it and loved it, story is amazing,characters are amazing,i need more Meveeeeee. I think this game is great recipe for future Witcher tales but it need to be expended even more,so far its good. I hope to see story based on battle on Soden,its such an iconic event in Witcher history.CDPR please keep making this games and further support Gwent. I don't watch Witcher to ever end.

Nice atmosphere and freezes

It's really a very nice game with good characters, intricate plot and cosy gameplay. But these freezes are freaking me out. Sometimes the battle stops and you can do nothing except closing the game and reopening it. I can't help praising it cause I am excited with it but freezes spoil nearly everything! 4 stars only for other three wonderful games.

Gwent Driven Adventuring

I would have liked this game more if I'd been prepared for what it really is, Gwent with a story. While there are elements of strategy, role-playing, and adventure, they are extremely thin. The strategy element (outside of Gwent itself) is whether or not you want to collect all the resources on a map, the adventure element is limited to the linear path through a map with little reason other than digging up treasure to move back, and the role-playing is equally light as the story is largely just exposition with a few choices. This isn't inherently bad. Gwent is a fun game, and it's a beautifully designed game with some excellent implementation. As a cornerstone to build a game on it works well. You can handle combat with it, story events can be played out through it, and you even have puzzle missions that can only play out one way which must be solved. Going into this craving a deeper Gwent experience will yield the best results because the Gwent is so well done that it's easy to give a pass to everything else as just window dressing. It's very similar to Puzzle Quest. However, that Puzzle Quest better integrates its game mechanic and minimizes the time you spend doing non-puzzle tasks. Thronebreaker doesn't. It's tiring traveling around the map. There's some quick travel, but it doesn't really alleviate how flavorless the navigation is. The dialog is very heavy given how little interaction you have with it, and I never really felt like the conversations were meaningful to my journey. So I take issue with the description of Thronebreaker as an RPG. As a role-playing game with narrative-driven exploration, Thronebreaker fails pretty hard. But, as a Gwent game that elevates the mechanic of Gwent to the core method for interacting with a story and world, Thronebreaker is okay.
