Has a bad resource gathering system

The gwent aspect (playing the actual card game) is really really good. What is bad about this game is the resource hunting and management. Having to move slowly around a very large map to collect resources and do missions is not fun. What would be preferable is to have a node by node system ( like in Faster than Light (FtL)). Overall, this game has great game play, great story. However, poor and tedious resource collection makes this game imperfect. Buy it if you like card games and have the time and paitence for the map exploration component.

Why Have Not More People Played This

This is criminally underrated gem. This game is a great journey though the world of the Witcher. The focus on characters not tied to the previous titles is a fantastic world building opportunity that CD Projekt Red take full advantage of. The story told, the choices to be made and the characters you meet make this a must for fans of RPG's. Do not be put off by the card game element . Loved this game and i wished they would make more like it.

Simply fantastic

Expected it to be Gwent: story mode. Turns out to be one of the best RPG's I've ever played. A truly awesome game, CD Projekt Red did it again.

A very good story.

I did expect a good story from the Witcher universe, but I was still surprised by the length and constant quality not found in many games, especially not at this price point. Another strengths are interesting characters and decision making that make actually sense. The gameplay itself is innovative and well designed. I liked the ester egg with hearthstone. On hard difficulty the game has nearly 50h, when you are as bad as I with logic puzzles.

Great product!

If you are into story driven games, cards and puzzle solving this game is for you. If you happen to play Gwent, enriching your card collection is an added bonus, but I would buy it even if you have no interest in Gwent. Story is solid and it fits really well into Witcher universe, there are many memorable characters, some hard choices to make and you are getting solid 35 hours of gameplay! For a person like me who happens to be Witcher's fan from before anyone thought about making it into a game (yes, yes I'm a boomer) it was a really satisfying game to play, thanks CDPR :)
