The Naheulbeuk universe is an original creation by French author John Lang. It started as a very popular audio comedy series parodying role-playing games and heroic fantasy tropes. Now the story is available in English and as a video game for the first time!
Game features
- Play with seven classic role-playing game characters complementing each other’s skills as you level them up: the Ranger, the Elf, the Dwarf, the Magician, the Ogre and the Thief!
- Every member of the team has their own skill tree to upgrade their abilities and equipment.

The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk: The Amulet of Chaos has zany humor and tactical depth. Its characters feel unique and memorable too. Sadly, it's bogged down by a nasty bug that can occur during battles, a particular issue that became problematic towards the end of the game, and a lack of replayability.

Toilet humour can be very funny if it's written well and I'm not sure it's written well here. That's a shame because the rest of The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk is a decent effort at the tactical genre, with some genuine replay value thrown in. Why not give it a stab? Or perhaps, a backstab?

Ruined by one awful mechanic
It's littered with traps that will murder you, meaning you should always be in trapfinding mode, but that mode makes you move so painfully slowly, it makes the entire game literally unplayable. What awful, stupid design decision. Respect the players' time ffs!

What a mess
This game has so much wrong with it it actually becomes funny. In exploration your view is just around the party and you have no way to move it so you are constantly referring to the map as you loss focus on where you are. The movement controls don't work properly. Sometimes the cursor will move the party in that direction most of the time it does nothing which gets annoying. The battles from the early stage become defensive attrition because the levelling is rubbish. I started to face level 5 enemies while my team was still level 2. Your wizard never hits anything while the enemies has amazing area of affect spells. Melee reaction does not work properly as the goblins just ran straight through my line and no one reacted. The barbarian is a total mess as he also miss 50% of the time. Goblin gunman hit you from the other side of the map with ease even behind cover. Finally the worse is the enemy always get first move which means they always close before your archers even get a chance to set reaction fire. Just so annoying.
